Once you're done with work and family obligations, and it's time for YOU....what are your interests? What is it that you really get into, what is it that you like to learn, read, listen to, DO, etc.... Not just something to pass the time, but something that you have a passionate interest in. What's your hot button, when you have some of that glorious time to yourself to pursue your interests and desires?

When I'm not in school pursuing my career passion. . .
I'm doing interior decorating. I can get so "into" it, everything else just fades away for awhile.
It's a great stress reliever, creative outlet (I sketch the things I make, too), mood enhancer, and internal get-away.
For me, it's the next best thing to. . .oh, wait. . .this is the general forum. Nevermind. . .

Once you're done with work and family obligations, and it's time for YOU....what are your interests? ~sighs~ I don't ever seem to have any time JUST for me, even when my daughter is in bed I still have to hang around the house... however, my passion used to be sports: I used to play Sunday League soccer and semi-professional rugby, but now I just watch them on the tv.
And of course, I love to write poetry, although I haven't written much recently. Ah yes, and I'm doing an online journalism course, plus I like to read horror....
And yes, as Green said, I'm in the wrong forum to mention my other interests, although that's pretty thin on the ground at the moment too!

My primary passion is LIFE--every waking moment!!!!
After work and weekends...genealogy--but I don't get to it very often because everything, including the concept of time, does fade!!

Listening to music. I know it may seem like a meaningless waste of time to some people, but its what I enjoy doing more than anything in the world. It can mellow you out when you've had a hard day, bring you up when you're down, smooth things over when you're stressed, and simply makes my day go better.

Passions.....Reading publications within my profession including JAMA, the Wall Street, racing sprint cars, midgets, legends, staying on top of how my Greyhounds are performing in sunny Florida and Texas. The MD forums as well as socialization including "dating" certainly not limited to certain magnificent pleasures.....never a dull moment in the Mid West.

Minooka is a very small town where the most beautiful water tower is located near by. Traveling to that area is one of the most delightful and passion filed adventures to experience.
I had the privilege of meeting a very good friend in fact a sexsational friend near that water tower. That water tower had something to do with the Space Shuttle.....Ahhhhhhh Minooka. Almost time to again pull out the map. A highly recommended location for a weekend get-a-way.

I LOVE writing and photography. It is something that is very therapeutic for me. I would love to pursue both more seriously, but unfortunately, I don't have the time with my job, and I will be attending grad school in the fall.

I love to read. Most of the time when I am reading, I stop and ask my husband a question,,,,and we start a conversation about either politics, the church or history. The books I am reading right now have a town in Virgina, being "zapped" to the past to 1632. During the 30 years war over in Europe.
Now, that can really get you thinking.

Motorcycle riding. No one seems to understand how I feel regarding them. I go down the road in my car and "hear" one my neck does an automatic turn I see them and think ...do you know how lucky you are. I miss riding, a lot! Thanks for making me "think" Jester.
