Is it just me - or are the forums boring lately?

Many of the witty people have stopped dropping by, possibly frustrated by having their posts continually deleted, or they have been banned. The moderators do their best to take out all the humorous posts and posts that challenge people - as well as topics that are controversial. So we have someone's idea of a perfect forum - a very dull place where everybody agrees with everybody else. I hate (not really) to admit it, but I used to enjoy tuning in to watch the ladies in a flame war, or a heated religious or political debate once in a while. Now we're down to "Cute things your pets do" or "What makes your butt sore" kind of topics. Boring...

I so totally agree.....I do think the "grade school mentality" of tattleing had a lot to do with it....and the "ganging" up against anyone.....who one person could not hold their own...verbably with......had a lot to do with it....
Just my opinion....nothing more....

Do I suck that much?
I don't think this place is boring, in fact, it's a breath of fresh air from all the teen sites I was on for awhile where all it was was "OMG LIKE DID YOU WATCH THE OC LAST NIGHT?" "POLITICS? EW OMG I DON'T CARE!!!" This site is definitely better than anything like that.

Hi Pete-nice to meet ya,
I think part of the problem is that new people come in here and try to get the feel of things. I think we tend to go where we might know something about the subject matter. Or try to joke around, but not sure how to take people yet. Hopefully people are disappearing because they actually found a real life human to enjoy conversation with!
(I have seen posts disappear and then miraculously be back the next time I logged on....)
I stay away from religion and politics because it's usually a sore spot with many people. I don't like to flame except about matters close to my heart. Maybe there should be a "flamers" thread. Hmm, wait...nevermind!
(sorry I tried to make light of the butt hurts thread... I'm feelin bad now

I didn`t think my thread was at all boring..think I`ll write a book on it as a matter of fact..yep thats what I`m gonna do..
Now for a title...hmm The Clone Who Sat On His Throne And Ate a Clone Cone..no too long..
A little laughter mixed with a little seriouness never hurt anyone.. 
Perhaps some new topics for discussion should be posted.
I don`t know..thats only my opinion..
