Suffice it to say, I have worked in the medical field for some years. The following is what I run into:
Young lady calls and wants medical records on baby. Because you see, the man she was married to when she had the baby is not the baby's father. The man she is currently married to is baby's daddy. I need to help her get the name of baby's daddy on birth certificate changed. I pondered giving her the 1-800-Jerry Springer number. I tried to explain that this was something I could not do. She insisted I was stupid and crazy? Am I or is she? After several thousand calls like this, I think I am
Anyone else with crazy people stories. No, you cannot write about me.

LOL and you wonder why men won't commit anymore.LOL Women can "choose" to have em or not to have em.If they have em,they own them. I've always known that "family's are about women. They hold all the cards.Women are always complaining about respect. Well this is a very clear message of how women disrespect men. It also a clear message of just how devious women can be. And don't think for a minute that America's men don't know this.Seems like we become "dads" only when it suits you women, and only if you approve,(and on your terms). I've been thru similar stuff like this twice already.
Everything changes after you remarry.

I would have told her to have her attorney go through the appropriate channels after she has had a paternity test. In other words, blow that tramp down the ramp.

It's my understanding that the man she's married to is the legal father. If he's not the biological father, it has to be proven. The records are the records. It's not your option to change them; it's the responsibity of the biological and legal fathers to go through the proper legal channels. You're not nuts; it's a crazy mixed up world.

I agree, Suzie.
The other bad thing, some states have laws that could get her in trouble for perjury if she knew what she was doing when she did it. They don't take deadbeat dads as lightly as they use to, and they don't take lying mothers when they do it to cover their own butts either. She dang well better go through an attorney so she doesn't get into bigger trouble than she already caused herself.

Holding, the guy on record just needs to abandon his parental rights. The other guy can then go through the courts, which I believe is in chambers with a judge, and have himself put on the certificate.
Hiwayman, I would think pro choice would be both parents choosing. If the man wants the baby and the woman doesn’t, you have to have an ass pocket full of many to get an injunction to prevent termination. Most the time the courts will laugh at you for trying, quoting pro choice. However if she wants to keep it and you don't, it's your ass for 18 years. There has to be a more amiable solution for this dilemma. When I was a kid I wanted to grow up to be a single parent, however the deck was stacked against me. I drew the wrong gender card.

Hey, I never said I was sane. But actually, in Mississippi, the husband at the time of the child's birth, who was foolish enough to sign the birth certificate, is the legal father. The only way the natural father could amend this would be to legally adopt his own child. But please keep in mind, who in their right mind would tell this to a total stranger. And people wonder why I talk to myself. I make more sense than anybody I know.

Yes, you are crazy because you are asking people on a dating site whether you are crazy or not. When ever I see the "Am I crazy questionaire", I confirm that the people asking this are indeed nuts or crazy.
On topic- Women that think they can get away with lying to men about who is the birth father of their child should have the child snatched away from them and given to the non-biological father whose name is on the birth certificate, regardless of her demands or childish tamtrums.
The man is usually paying for the support, typically from another man or loser's mistake, so he should all rights to claim or take the non-blood related child into guardianship- power of attorney.
This should not be a matter of a woman conviently suckering a man to pay the costs of raising her child because she can't afford it, then reversing her decision and dumping the guy once she becomes somewhat financially stable. She should be prepared to pay the price or a penalty for that kind of behavior. Men aren't here just to assist a woman down on her luck (A crutch) to be dumped and taken for their money, property, or right to be the parent.
The man on the birth certificate has full rights that should never be modified or disputed. That's how the law should be be interpreted and enforced. Maybe that will teach all men and women involved in these kind of relationships to think things through clearly before becoming involved with one another.
