Being that science is progressing rapidly, and a man has become pregnant and shown that it is possible for men to give birth to children.(They are already doing this type of experimentation right now). So this is a three part debate...
men...how much $$$ would you want for compensation to be impregnanted and carry to term?
ladies...would you let your man do this?
(I would let my man do this...I would enjoy having him know the suffering of childbirth and pregnancy.)
Do you think it is morally acceptable for men to have children?
Is it a moral issue? All comments Welcome..

I knew that question would be asked..I am well prepared.
As an artist who has had solo exhibitions at The Whitney Museum of American Art and The Cleveland Museum of Art, Lee Mingwei explores the evanescent and diurnal cycles of living. His work is based on such basic human activities as cooking, letterwriting, and now child-bearing.

Thanks to RYT Hospital physicians and scientists, Artist Lee Mingwei became the first human man to successfully become pregnant.
I'm having a baby elephant, wanna see it's trunk?
no thanks

Awesome...my gal friends and I have talked about this! We always joked that we were going to invent the best method of population control by impregnating men and having the couple alternate with births.. you know, the woman has one, the man one, the woman one.. when it came to the man to have his 2nd our bets are that it would not happen... so the population would be three children per family. And afore yall get your shorts in a bunch.. it is our "gals talk" joke....

OK
I'm not going to that site-yet.
How the heck they gonna get it out? I do NOT think an episiotomy is gonna do the job.
They say men don't handle pain well. (Maybe the hammer thumb hittin, bowling back pain, golf elbow, racetrack sunburns etc with some cussing...) It isn't even about the moral accepting. How the heck long will they complain about morning sickness?
hehehe

I had the missfortune of breaking my back shortly before my 18th b-day. When it comes to pain tolerance I have a good piece of the market on it.

Wulf, you think you know pain? Try having a 12 pound baby - now ladies wouldn't that put a smile on your face. A man having a 12 pound baby.

Why not? I have two.
I didnt go to the site you posted Tinker because some things are not worth the time to investigate but, since it is impossible for a man to give birth and probaly to nurse it is morally unacceptable to even try.
Thats not a miracle, its insanity in our getting to be very insane world.

I wanted to understand where in the male body the fetus was developing. While physicologically understandable, the inherent risks associated with the baby attaching to the peritoneum are scary. In other words Mr. Lee could conceivably hemmorhage, lose part of his intestinal tract or because of the placental location, attach itself to any other major vessls.
Very interesting Tinker. Thanks. Never new this was happening so I'm going to watch it. I just hope the new "little one" survives his trip.

Jankia it's not physically impossible for a male to carry a fetus to term. If you take the time to read the article you might understand how it is possible *soft smile*..I'll explain it simply best as I can.
There is a lining between your internal organs and your skin. This lining is called the peritoneum and it actually encases your organs. Looks kinda like the membrane on an orange..sort of. It has a tremendous vascular supply (meaning lots of blood travels thru it) so therefore it's a perfect place for a embryo to adhere to.
As for breast feeding? That too is possible. Don't forget it's about hormones. Not that I would want to see a baby suckling at a man's boob.. That's just....visually..no..
Morally you may disagree with the whole concept and I respect that. I'm undecided.. Seems unnatural to mess with Mother Nature in some ways but..undecided

You're quite right Jankia-my apologies.
But it's also impossible for some women to deliver vaginally so they too, have C-Sections.
How the little one arrives into the world is important but not so much as his "trip" along the way, if you'll humour my zany view of pregnancy. LOL
I'd like to know if he has MOOD SWINGS and cravings, whether his nipples are sore and if he gets constipated too
LOL.
