Ok ladies I have this is last time I am going to ripped off by a man for services rendered (not talking about sex).I may be blond but this blond has a brain and knows how to use it.I have but my own engine in my 64 1/2 mustang and I have redone my entire house after I quit smoking.I how ever am not a carpet layer so I called the place to call so I was told HOME DEPOT  since they have done it before and apparently before they used a subcontractor too. silly me boy did I find out just how stupid that was I could have done a better job with a broken arm.The only big mistake was my not reading the little fine print . Now I know if it were a man the job would have been done not only on the day it was scheduled but it would have benn done correctly.I am now going to learn that trade as well  So ladies may I hear of some of your rip offs if any please I can't be the only one to get ripped off by the so called stronger sex

ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT, because that is where they get you on ANY contract. I usually have one of the guys take my car to the shop, just to avoid the "chick treatment". For anything else, I either ask a million questions about ANYTHING I question in any way. Taking notes or carrying a recorder makes them think twice as well. Any time they make a promise ask, "Can I get that in writing?" If they say no, be suspicious, if they say yes, make them sign and date it. Let them know that just because you are wearing a skirt it doesn't make you stupid. I am proud to be a salesman's worst nightmare.

I have also learned that at times it is beneficial to act a little bit dumber than you really are. Throws them off guard. hehehehe

Well lady if your so smart,why did you let yourself get ripped off??Why didn't wait and ask around for reputable men to do the job.Did you get different bids??Did you research the work to see what was involved before you started?? They don't call these guys CON tractors for nothing you know.I've worked contruction my whole life and even I won't do certain types of work.To begin with you must have the right tools to do the job.This can be very expencive. Instead of complaining about it.Why not "suck it up" and learn from it.( Thats what us so-called strong men do).

I learned long ago how not to get ripped off. I am the only and youngest girl with 3 older brothers. They and my father taught me alot.
Car repair men??? Oh how I love to go toe to toe with them.

I love the deer looking into the head light look my self when they get caught in the act trying to rip me off.once when I took my car to the garage I tried to tell him what I wanted and what was wrong and he said no you need this I said no I don't. well I called my friend on my cell and handed him the phone and he set things straight and after hanging the phone up he made a comment I feel like I am getting approvel from your dad and I laughed and said LOL you did.

I only remember getting ripped off once years ago. Had my mufler replaced and found out about 3 months later it was a used one that they replaced it with. It was too late to go back cause I had moved out of the area.

Probably, but that doesn't always do you any good. If I may edit a bit...

One good idea, if you don't have a guy friend to help you by taking care of it, look some info up on the internet that seems appropriate for what you're doing, go in acting like you know something about the subject. It does help.
