We all know that anger is a natural human emotion. Anger usually comes out of feelings such as frustration to be heard, frustration to have needs met, a need for justice, a need for attention, or even a feeling of shame (whether actually guilty of something or not). Here is a quote by Aristotle: "Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody's power, that is not easy."
We all have been victims of (and perpetrators of) misplaced anger when someone lashes out us when they are either uncontrollably angry or even when it is not even us they are angry at but we are in the line of fire.
When is anger justified? Is it normal to go around angry at everyone and cynical or is just emotional vomiting when a person cannot control or direct their emotions in the appropriate way?

Anger can be a positive emotion as long as we control the anger and don't let the anger control us. When anger gets out of control, it is a very destructive thing to both the person lashing out and the person receiving the lashing.

If God didn't give us Anger....life would be boring. Now, how/if you control that anger is an entirely different thing. I'm sure there is a reason for the feeling of Anger. My belief is Anger is a natural response to "Things we have no control over". Other than yourself (most of the time) you have Zero control over another living thing.
My best friend gave me the best advice I could get "Get Mad...then Get Over It!!"
Life is too short for "STUPIDITY OF OTHERS"....(Otherwise called Anger...lol)

Anger is strange, you can get angry with yourself for being angry after you have returned to reason.
Ever notice that people that are wrong about something but wont admit they are wrong get angry?

I was against it, too....both times. Unfortunately, it only takes one to make that decision. It's NOT the way I was raised, though....

Whoa guys!! Of course it's natural, it's an instinctive reaction to danger - fight or flight. Anger and fear are natural partners. I can't speak for how others react to things, but I know that I literally see red when physically attacked. The first time it happened I was 11 years old, and I believe it was the first time in my life I got really angry. Four of the 'tough' kids attacked me (definitely one of the geeks) on my way home from school, and they ended up running away. The anger kicked in a level of adrenaline that turned a comparitively quiet, shy and certainly never aggressive little girl into a berserker.
Don't knock anger. In its proper place it can save your life. When you start getting irritated, stop and think about just how lethal anger can be, and it might help change your perspective!

Exactly, Heaven.
Everything is here for a purpose. But it is always our own individual choice as to how we use it.

We live by the decisions we make. But we all must keep in mind that everything is relative.

So true. If it's not one thing, it's your mother.
I have always been fond of the saying attributed to Allister Crowley:
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. So long as ye harm none."
It implies perfect freedom yet at the same time perfect awareness and personal responsibility.
So it follows, then, that anger has its place. However, even if we do not manifest it outwardly by lashing out at others inappropriately, even by turning it inward we stand to harm our Selves. And that is no more correct.

Yes anger is something that is within us. Its how we use it during that period of feeling it. Sometimes anger has helped in certain situations. Other situations not so good. Needs to be controlled. But there are more therapy sessions on Anger Management. How one controls it.
"Anger is only one letter short of danger."
"If you harbor bitterness, happiness will find somewhere else to dock."
Anger makes you smaller,
while forgiveness forces you to grow beyond what you were"
And some anger is often merely evidence of insecurity in life. So therefore he who angers you controls you.
Anger could be used in many different ways, shapes and forms. Sometimes when I see someone angry either directed at me or someone I remember sometimes silence is the best answer.
But then these are some of my thoughts and views which could anger someone!

Anger
The anger that stems from our daily life,
builds up each minute and multiplies.
It seethes and simmers and dwells deep inside
till it erupts to give us a choice we must decide.
Do we let it overwhelm us with bitterness and grief,
or do we go on quietly with our own beliefs.
We can choose to lash out and hurt those we love,
our family and friends, with angers own glove.
Do we make it into a stepping stone,
and not let it take over when we are alone.
We can choose to not let our anger rule,
then in the end we won't look like a fool.
Anger's destructive, hearts cannot mend,
it brings on a wrath with loss of good friends.
It controls a person's heart and mind,
deteriorates the good and makes us unkind.
We can choose to not let anger rule,
we can choose to use it as a building tool.
Grow from the anger that we worked through,
and mature from knowledge that we are true.
It's our own choice, as to what we do....
let anger control, make us look like a fool,
or get it out of our system once and for all,
and with it gone, we can finally stand tall.
Find the reason that your anger is there,
remove it from inside and don't let it share.
Don't give it space inside you to dwell,
just know that it comes from the deep pits of hell.
