Why can't I thump it hard???

I've recently bought a new computer, and the damn keyboard is so delicate that I can't type properly anymore... I like to thump my keys, slam my chunky fingers down hard and relish that big ole' clicky sound I used to get from my old keyboard!!
Now I've gotta type delicately, and I just ain't tuned in to this.... ~inserts screaming motie~

 I went to visit my son and used his puter..his keyboard was the same way..AND it was noisy! Clickety-Click! Click! Click! Click! GrRrRrR..................

Hmm...thought of using your old keyboard? LOL yep I've thought about that, I've got this new computer desk too, with the slidey-outey keyboard shelf, and my old keyboard has the "wrist-rests" on it at the front and it just doesn't fit my desk properly! ~sighs~

Send your keyboard to me please. 
I have carpal tunnel syndrome and loathe those old keyboards that have to be pounded in order to produce a keystroke.

oh the fat finger thing....  lol ...try slowing down your repeat rate under keyboard settings.....or just spill something on it and it'll start sticking....

And my main problem is that, even with chunky fingers, I type very fast, and this keyboard just doesn't doesn't do the business for me... but hey, thanks for the tip-off about the repeat rate, I'll go and change that now!

I love mine. Clicky keys, can thump it as much as I like... ergo-style (split in the middle) - and NO Windows keys  . Only thing I would change - I love a big backspace key... this one has a regular size one. I thought it would be hard to get used to the split keyboard, but it's really nice and I don't care for the old kind anymore. China, this one is made by Addison and it's +/- $50 US.

This thread was NOT at all what I thought it was gunna be about.
I liked my old keyboard from way back when the ole lady would say QUIT TYPIN SO LOUD
With this one my fatfingeritius messes me up alot.

Ahhhh see Pete, mine isn't all bad 'cos I've got a big backspace key!
But I am seriously considering junking my little pulley-out keyboard shelf and sticking my old keyboard on top of my new desk...

Well, it is very slim and shapely, but, at least until now, I never considered it to be cute.... hmmm.... ok, out with the new, and in with the old!!
