I've never put my name in the heading before.  I thought it'd be fun just for once, especially considering the heading. I just wanted to mention that I noticed today that I am very much focused on myself. I want what's best for me, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Everyone else comes second. Is that okay? Is it wrong to put me first all the time, to always have my interest in mind, even when dealing with others? Doesn't it just make sense?
Disagree or agree???

It depends on individual situations. Sometimes you have to be for self protection physically, financially, emotionally, as a parent. As a rule, I think it would just come back to bite you in the butt....

So do I..at times but old habits are hard to break..I don`t think I`ll ever be self centered its just not in my nature.

However, I do believe that you should take care of yourself well enough to stay standing for the ones you care for.

yes 4 of them,raised them with no help..never had time to be self-centered

Maybe you're self-focused rather than self-centered?
Honestly, all us moms (and so many of the dads) have to learn how to be a little more self-focused...it's something I've been working on, but don't want to lean toooo far in that direction! Nothing wrong with loving yourself, as long as it's not exclusive!

Tink....i'd rather read someone is self-centered..(even though i know you're not) than these others who always feel they have to proclaim that their kids are "their life"!....c'mon, ladies....just cuz you gave birth doesn't mean you have exclusive rights....ok?.....LOL
besides.....like was mentioned earlier....if mama isn't happy, noones' happy!
so,...to all those with children.......its ok to sometimes make ourselves happy.......and believe me.....our kids will notice!
