We have all met those people who refuse to bathe. My most memorable experience was in the 9th grade (about the same time Columbus landed in America). My friend and I marched into American History and noticed all the empty seats were behind one lone girl. Everyone else was seated on the other side of the room. We sat behind her and when she raised her hand we found out why we were the only ones sitting behind her - that and the fact she wore rollers in her hair the entire week. Anyone else have stinky people stories?

Oh, I'm in the wrong thread. I thought this was about the pile of dirty laundry lying here on the floor. So sorry....

Actually had a supervisor that smelled SOOO bad, we could smell him coming a mile away.
Helps to not get caught talking too much when you know. He use to try to hide behind our workstations and catch us....but even if we were mssing around, there is NO way he would have gone unnoticed!

1. When I was a freshman, my friend Chris had this friend who we called "SMITH" or "wolfboy" (that was his schoolwide nickname). He lived on a farm and never, ever, showered. His smell was so bad he was not allowed to take the bus to school (I AM NOT LYING). One time, he left a pair of his sweatpants at my friend's house.
2. There's this girl who doesn't change after she does gym and when she leaves the gymnasium you can smell her all the way down the hallway.

My girls - you never disappoint me. Try this one. Worked with a girl who smelled like old sewer. She comes to work one day with hickies all over her neck. My only question - who could get past the smell? (Wish I had hickies)

I've gone a week with out a shower (Hurricane Isibelle) & still didn't smell that bad. What makes these people smell so bad.... & don't say its what they eat cause I live off onions

Edited after careful thought..
There's only one solution to this problem: disposable clothing made entirely out of deodorant. Sure, the smell of it will be overpowering at first, possibly causing curious or overly-friendly dogs to have seizures, but the benefit will far outweigh the problem in that case. Sure, as the day goes on, the clothes will evaporate, causing everyone to live in constant fear of horrendous and uncalled for nudity, but at least they'll be nice smelling ugly naked people. And sure, disposable clothing will be incredibly expensive, but they'll be able to afford it. I mean, it's not like the smelly people are going to be spending money on girlfriends or boyfriends. If that were the case, they wouldn't be smelly in the first place.

This is extremely gross but there was a girl I went to high school with and we always knew when she got her monthly visitor. You could easily smell it 10 feet away and I had to sit by her in one of our classes... sooooooo disgusting.

Several years ago, when my husband and I were
together... We had a male friend who had a week
until his apt. was going to be ready for him to move
into.
We invited him to stay with us since he had no family
here.
He had been in our home for 4 days and had not
showered. The odor was awful.
Finally one evening, we were all sitting in the living
room and I asked " Does anyone smell something..
like body odor?"
My husband and I left for a couple of hours, and when we
returned, he had took a shower!
Sometimes.. You just have to drop a hint.

There once was a person named Stinky,
Who went about life a little "hinky"
A bar of soap
and a heartfelt note...
Now Stinky is getting more winkies.

For any of you who were mean to the "stinky kids" in school, consider yourself slapped. Their parents were to blame, and they suffered because of those parents.
Have never known any stinky adults personally. The only ones I have run into are those people (men and women) who wear WAY too much cologne, which is just as bad as BO. Jean Nate actually makes me sick to my stomach, and the extra large people sweating on the bus one summer when I was a teenager. Being crammed in with them sure gave me more incentive to get a car ASAP.

I`ve never been mean to anyone...once had to tell a girl at work that she needed to take care of her personal hygiene...I was a supervisor at the time..she smelt really bad..and I really didn`t want to do it..but it was a resort and we worked closely with the guest..

Its like having some escapage from your nose or some lunch left on your mouth that you cannot see.
We welcome someone telling us.
Wouldnt we all welcome the same if we stunk?

Tink - having to deal with an adult, especially in a work setting where you deal with the public...is a lot different than kids picking on other kids in school. Of course I don't envy you having to have that discussion. I hated being the "boss" when it came to that kind of stuff.
