I suppose that being qausi-computer literate does not hep my plea....but....
can someone please tell me what a "blog" is and more specifically, its purpose?

It's basically a journal that you're allowing others to share with you...

Quasi-computer literate as I see it....knows enough about a computer to make me dangerous and irritate information technologists.

Ive never done any "blogging" but it seems to me that you would just want to share your thoughts about different things and anything too personal to share you just dont.

Yep, I've blogged, but not a lot, and it really is pretty pointless, but then so's posting here...blogging's pretty similar, but you usually get emails commenting on your blogs as opposed to open discussions. To each his or her own...

I wouldnt say pointless myself on a dating site because like on these forums it gives you another perspective about what a person is like besides what they say in writing a profile.
Yea...right.
This coming from a guy that has never read a blog!

I never blogged before this site. I kind of like blogging. I get a soapbox whenever I like and nobody has to listen unless they want to. I get email comments, pro, con, and neutral. Some become conversations. Bogging is yet another form of communication.

I really enjoy doing it. I won't get to personal with it. To me it is a form of self expression. It make's me smile to know people read them. It really has open my eye's alot. I have a dream of getting something published. I find it relaxing to write one to start the day. I love the blog's and am so glad that they added that option. I must admit that I never read other's. I just like to write them.
