Yes! I have cut my own hairs all the time. I hate the beauty salon, they always cut too short! I like cutting mens hair too. It's fun to style it and every one that I do cut their hair loves it.

I cut my daughter's hair many times, her hair gets down to her her butt, then she gets headaches. So I use scissors to cut it the length she wants. Her hair is so thick, I do cut it when it's wet only.

I've gotten pretty good at cutting the wild ones. During the summer I let a friend of mine shave my hair down to about a half inch.

i have at times trimed my own bangs. more then that i will not try . i generally wear my hair short - summer time even more likely to be short -

Yep.....years ago I certainly did cut my hair - I shaved my head, completely 
Wanted to know if I could pull it off as a woman. Wanted to know if people would treat me differently, both men and women alike. Wanted to know "Who am I without my hair?" and "Do I feel like I am exactly the same person with my hair or without it?"
Interesting experiement and experience to say the least.
Now, no one cuts my hair  but my hair stylist

I like to flirt with the women their, so I get a shampoo the works.. Nothing like a beautiful woman leaning down to wash your hair..

I've cut my own hair before. Used to cut the ex's hair all the time and my brother's. I always used to cut my daughters' hair. And yes...with scissors. Why do you ask, Frank? Are you going to whack your hair off?

palomino, well i ask cause i wanted to get a feel for how many others cut hair who arent in the trade and in the trade too. i guess i have always had a thing for being vulnerable and wanting to have someone take a scizzer and chop off my long hair. would you do it?

Ahhhh...only one experience with cutting long hair. An ex-boyfriend lived upstairs from me and was out front cutting his girlfriend's hair. He asked me to help get it straight, and I foolishly said I would. No malice involved, but I'm not who you want playing with sissors. I can't cut a straight line even with a straightedge attached. It was a touch shorter than she had anticipated... ...~gulp~ Also, an incredibly good sport about it all. That might have been because she also had the fastest, thickest growing hair I have ever known.

I cut my bangs and sometimes in between my hair appts. I'll trim the ends...
but that's it.
I did have one experience cutting my ex-boyfriends hair when I was in my late
teens... Of coarse at that time I thought I could do everything right....WRONG!!!
He has a lot of Indian in him, so he had the beautiful..straight..jet black..
silky hair past his shoulders.
He asked me if I would cut it. I thought he just meant maybe a couple inches off
the back. He kept wanting it shorter. When I finished, it looked like I had put a
bowl on his head and cut it. 
He took the day off work and went to the barber!
He was a little pissed  well... really pissed..
But, he got over it.
