Hurry and get this thread deleted!! I wouldn't want anyone to not have to deal with a little disharmony in the world!
Normally I'm fairly laid back and don't let a lot of the crap get to me on here. I've been online for a very long time and just don't take most of it to heart. But when censorship comes into play, I get a little miffed and feel the need to say something! If you don't like a thread why do you read it then post to it and then cry to MD to have it deleted? Just because you don't like the thread you deprive others of getting any enjoyment or information from it. How crazy is that? Why not just use some good old fashioned self control and BYPASS that thread?? Who are you that feel you have the right to tell everyone else what they can and cannot discuss on these forums?? IMO there is a huge difference between bashing and offering an opinion. I see people whining about topics that others have picked for threads, yet they are one of the first to repsond in that thread if to do nothing else than to BASH the thread. They're not offering any opinion about the topic, just that it is a waste of time. And as far as searching for existing threads go, I've searched for a few and not found them. But I refrain from starting certain threads because I just know that someone is going to tell me "we've already done that". Well sorry! I searched and didn't find it and I wasn't here when you had that talk. Pardon me for seeking out some opinions on topics that actually have a meaning to me. Is it really neccessary to let everyone know that you've been around longer than they have?? Is it really important to make them feel stupid because they couldn't find the already existing thread? If you know where the thread is then by all means direct them to it!! It would save the OP a lot of time (in my case the person who pointed out that the tread existed did just that and I appreciated it.) But I've seen a few posts by one person who just says it's been done! To me thats just rude! I don't normally waste my time asking questions to which I don't want an honest answer or opinion on.
I have seen people actually NAME a person and then proceed to bash them and call them names and even make ignorant comments about the person's family. Personally I don't like seeing people get trashed on here. I don't like seeing people take cheap shots at people's kids on here or calling someone a bad parent because they don't do what others do or someone gets called a slut or a whore because they like things that other's think is too kinky or whatever for themselves. But I don't see anyone asking MD to get rid of THOSE threads! If you have nothing constructive to offer to a thread then how about SKIPPING the thread??? Why do you feel the need to dictate to others what they should and should not talk about?? Arghhhh!!!!!!
Ok! I'm done. At least I got it typed and that makes me feel a little better!!
Personally I think MD does a heck of a job with this site and I've stated that many times. Unfortunately they can't control people's emotions. (sigh)..More cold iced tea!! Datsamoochabeetah!!!!!!

I couldnt agree with you more, great rant you have going there Harleys.............
I am on another board, and they even deleted a kudos thread.............without sending a message saying why...........
so it doesnt happen just here either...............
dont these people think the gov't does enough censorship and taking rights away without adding to the mix...................
ok done my rant for now too...............

Harley...if it's me you're referring to...and by no means am I making accusations, just a statement because a lot of things you say here are very similar in reference to what was said in the thread that was deleted....I'll let you know, I had absolutely nothing to do with that thread being deleted....in fact, I was in the process of replying to your post on that thread, sent it, and when the page came up blank, it was then that I realized the thread had been deleted.....the points you make here are valid, as were mine. I did not have the other thread deleted, its easy enough to prove by asking the Powers That Be. Like everyone else, you are entitled to your opinions, beliefs, etc. But if indeed it is me that you are pointing the finger at, I have to let you know, all I did was have my say about bashing others, and that was that. I wouldn't go 'whining' to anybody. Certainly never ask to have a thread that had nothing to do with me, deleted.

Harley if you weren't in WV i'd walk over and hug ya. 
If you can't say something constructive then move on. Don't jump in and start flaming someone just because you don't agree or because you've seen the same thing posted before. Instead just be adult about it and express your opinion without getting personal. If you know there was another thread with exaclty the same topic, nicely point them to that thread so that they can get instant feedback and provide their own as well.
Before someone jumps on here though and says, "Hey it's my right to come in here and say whatever I want. And If I want to be negative and demeaning, that's might right too." Everyone has rights, but everyone has responsibilities as well. At least recognize your responsibility to be a caring human being and not a jerk all the time.

It is always refreshing to have a good all-out debate, with no insults, name calling, putdowns. Yes, we can all be the bigger person. We can also all defend our points, and ourselves in a mature manner. I wouldn't ever call for a thread to be deleted, but there are a few trolls again, that seem hell bent on riling people up. None of it ever makes me mad. It just makes me wonder why that is so fun to some... 
I don't like to see friends attacked.

In response to the_real_me_ok....I wasn't directing this thread to any one person in particular. The fact that the other thread got deleted did indeed trigger me to write this thread, but it isn't you I am directing it at. I do appreciate however, the fact that you took the thread topic to heart and made it all about you. I have a fairly good idea who had the other thread removed and it never crossed my mind to consider it might have been you. I actually thought that the person who sent the e-mails around calling someone a fake was probably the one that did it. It really doesn't matter who did what. The fact that it is being done is what this thread is about. If you are feeling personally attacked by what is said in this thread I can assure you that is on you. I can't help how you feel or your ability to control your responses to those feelings. I merely stated what I was seeing and being done by people in general.
And for the record, a lot of things that I have stated in the original post are being done in a LOT of threads by different people. Please rest assured, if I have an issue with you I am mature enough to send you an e-mail and deal with it in private. Unlike some other people I don't get my kicks by trying to belittle other people in the forums.

Well said.....like I said, it wasn't an accusation, merely a statement. I was shocked to see the other thread gone so fast. I didn't think there was anything that brutal on there at all. I've seen much worse. No names were mentioned, nothing got personal. Even my rant about bashing was just that, a rant. But...just like everything else here in the forums....I guess it's another one of those mysteries.
