It happens because I tend to rummage in the kitchen cupboards and often leave them hanging open causing me to bang my head. At least it gives me an excuse for being the way I am.
Anybody do things like this?

You each need to find a mate who's a cabinet closer. I understand head bangers and cabinet closers tend to pair up.

I used to think my ex wife was trying to kill me.
She used to buy furniture polish and air freshener in nearly identical spray cans. One day I came home and put on a new pair of socks. When I walked across the kitchen my feet shot out from under me because the floor was slippery. When I was getting up I noticed that the can she just got done spraying around the kitchen was furniture polish.

My ex dislocated my nose in her sleep once. At least that's the story she told me.

Sponge, uh, sweetie, is there a possibility that all that head banging has altered your behavior.

Well it's always possible that I'm dumber than a sack of hammers but I prefer to think it's just the onset of early senility.

I used to be a head-banger!!! But after a serious setback with my PD(panic disorder) I have developed an OCD for closing doors of all kinds.lol. Finally!!! Something good came out of the PD!!!!! No bruised temples!!!

I don't smack my head on cupboard doors as much as I do tree limbs. I can walk by the same tree with low branches a hundred times and fifty of those times I forget to duck.

I thought I was the only one who left kitchen cabinets open, but just about 3 inches, then it avoids the head banging issue...usually.

OK, I'll be the first true wierdo here-I admit it is one of my pet peeves leaving cabinets open...I'm always shutting them after other people. Sometimes I get yelled at because the person is still using that cupboard!

I'm 6'4". I've hit my head more than any person alive. I watched a buddy of mine (5'8") hit his head on a low trailer door. Hilarious.
