Is there someone special that died which you believe should be here right now for whatever reason? Maybe a Relative, Philosopher, Religious or Political figure, Celebrity, or Scientist or someone else like your best friend or spouse?
I wish my grandmas were here, I loved taking to them about family history. I even miss how my Grandma used to twist my ear when I was naughty.

My grandmother as well. I would love for her to see my kids. She died when my daughter was 15 months old and never knew I was going to have a son a year later. She would be delighted to know she had 2 great-grandkids and would spoil them rotten. I miss working in the garden with her and going out for lunch for no reason. Her words of wisdom are still with me. She is the person I miss most in my life.

There is a whole host of people we would like to see still alive, but you know, being that they are dead, means we look at them in a different light and with different reverence. It's probably for the best.
Alternatively, who's alive now that you wish wasn't.
I know, I know, I'm horrible.

My Granny. One of the most inspirational people in my life. She was 4'9, totally blind for 40+ years, lived on her own, kept her house spotless, washed her own clothes on a wringer type washer, could cook anything she wanted to cook, knew how to dial the telephone (rotar-type), played the piano at church. NEVER met a stranger. She passed in July of 99. I was pregnant with my daughter then and didn't know it. It's like I've always heard. "God usually takes one in order to give one." Miss her like there's no tomorrow but know deep down that she's in a much better place. I feel with all my heart that she was truly able to see my daughter before I did. Considering she only got to see 2 of her 38 grandchildren

Oh Striving.. If I could have that wish it would be my son! I lost my only boy when he was 21 and just becoming the man I knew he could be. There is a hole in my heart that will never be filled and grandchildren I will never have.
Of course my mom because she left us much too soon.
On the lighter note, Naiya and Hawk... my puppy dogs. Wolf/Malamute and Wolf/Mal/Akita.... best dogs EVER!

Two people: my dad because he was the biggest and best influence on my character and my life, even though I never realised it until it was too late, and my first child, who would now be 18 years old.

I wish my son Jason was here with me now!! He's been gone 5 wks and 3 days! Where has all the time gone? It seems like last week. I keep hearing my youngest sons phone call over and over in my head.
The pain and agony of missing him hurts so bad I don't want to breathe anymore!!
He was ONLY 13 y/o, he had his whole life ahead of him!!!!
I know I have to go on for my other 4 children and my new grandbaby coming in Sept.
Jason is the last person I think about when I finally go to sleep at night, and the 1st one I think about when I awake.

That is, indeed, incredibly heartwarming. I've been fortunate, I suppose, in that I've lost but a single close family member. My father died back in 1981 at the ripe "old age" of 50!!!!! I suppose it would be natural for me to want him back with us today - I DO miss him - but I can't wish that, simply because I know he's in a far better place, he's happy, and the wounds the family felt at his passing have healed....
If I could actually make it happen, I think I'd bring back the children of the parents that have posted here before I would consider bringing back my own father. Does that make me strange?

Sorry, but...WHAT?!?!?!?!
I've never lost anyone in my life except grandparents who i saw twice a year and never talked to. Why would I want to bring them back from the dead?
Does wanting to bring back my most favorite famous people make me less real????
