Why do we eat meat? Doesn´t it taste dead animal if you forget about the spices? Raw meat or a raw fruit? Some people say; But it taste good. But if they run a chop through a mixer and eat/drink it with a straw will it have the same feeling? Is it just psychology linked to this chewing resistance? :)

I'm having the sirloin, myself...but I will thank the cow first (in spirit, of course!) One of these days, we'll be food for something, too. Way things work.

I'm calling the venison "negligent homicide" since I got it with a 98 F150. It's entirely possible that it was a suicide.

If we did not raise the animals for their meat, there would be a lot less of them around and quite a few would have been extinct years ago. Who would take care of a cow or a chicken for fun- they wouldn't. Their only use is to get big and be made into something to get onto my plate.
And if you are a veg head- you kill a plant to eat it, don't you?

Yep! I had to do that once on Thanksgiving day.A broken jaw forced me to throw the turkey, dressing and gravy in the blender.
Hey spongebob777,Did you ever hear about the guy from La. that picks up muskrat roadkill for his dining delite? When the interviewer asked him how he could eat roadkill that may have been there a long time,he said he only eats fresh roadkill.
How do you know if its fresh he asked again.
Simple,On my way into town on bowling nite I stop at every ratkill on the road and draw a circle around it with chalk. On my way home every rat without a circle is a fresh kill.

ok, here is a thought about eating meat. is it better to eat the meat or let the animals bread uncontrolably die of starvation disease or kill the weakest and dumbest let us eat well and they get to keep the best

my mom hit a deer a few years ago and it took the front bumper, grill and drivers fender off the car....we were lucky it didn't come through the windsheild. The Sherrif was right behind us when it happened. It was kind of like wow...the deer had jumped like an 8 ft fence and ran right into us...The Deputy had to shoot it to put it out of it's misery. He said if we didn't want it that they would have someone pick it up, dress it out and send it to the shelters and food banks. That is what a lot of people do with them.
