Way to drag this thread off topic! I'm so proud of you guys!
please seat me at the Carnivore table. Until I evolve to have 2 stomachs and actually like to eat grass...I'll stick to what I was born to eat.
But...there is some truth to meat being a killer.
I was raised on a farm and we ate lots of chicken and beef and of course lots of fresh grown veggies. The stuff you buy in a store pales in comparison. The hormones, preservatives and dyes they inject into that rib eye is criminal. And I'm not going to touch on the way the animal was forced to mature in half the amount of time with more hormones and chemicals.
After the last tough, chewy, bland steak I bought from Safeway I've been eyeing the cute little bunnies that run all around my house in the evening, I'll bet they are delicious! Free range rabbit on the bar-b!

Deer meat is not off topic. People eat it,it is meat right?
Yup, there is way too much of that crap in the processed meats these days. If you are going to eat meat, raise it yourself so you know what is in it.

raise the veggies that the critters eat then eat the critter. the way of the world. 
when i was a little girl, i remember the size of cken gizzards. now, u need a magnifying glass 2 find it.
goodcatch, not the easter bunny; nooooooo! there's a rabbit romping around n my yard. with all the cats around, i'm surprised its still out n about.

Yup, there is way too much of that crap in the processed meats these days. If you are going to eat meat, raise it yourself so you know what is in it.
This reminds me of something that doesnt deal with meat.Think of all the poor suckers in this country that have no idea what a fresh farm egg tastes like or even looks like.

Have any of you red meat eaters ever seen how cows are processed at a slaughter house? If you did, you wouldn't eat red meat anymore. They grind up tumors and all into your hamburgers....therefore i don't eat red meat...and never will...

Oh and Buni. wild rabbit is ok isn't it??? Oh, getting the hair off so you can cook them is a job all by it's self....

Hi all! I just realized meatsauce is better without the meat. Tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, spices and more. The onions will do for the chewing resistance.
You don´t need to be a hunter to catch a fish in the frozen food counter. When we put our own life at stake in the jungle then we could be called hunters. Otherwise we are just bullies who have gone to far.
Killing innocent pigs and cows. Chicken!

My grandma always decided which chicken was up for butchering when/if they pecked her. Little rascals anyway!!

Are you talking about all forms of meat...
as this goes right allong with my extreme idea
of why abort it when one can eat it...
Wellll, some eat fish eggs...
Why stop with the cow and the horse meat...
why stop frown on dogs and cats...
sure Leviticus frowned on eating carnivorous
animals... which supports the eat a vegan
today idea...
Just as Vampire novels entertained the idea
that eating animals that eat other animals is
bad... science will tell you that animals
that eat other animals instead of plants have
more built up bad thingies in them...
condensed poisons...
So back to eating veal as in baby cows... yep
this would solve the what to do with all
those children that are not aborted nor
adopted... save an impoverished life... eat a
child today!
Disclaimer: its just a spoof... I do not
reccomend doing anything that is illegal and
besides... back in the day of Greece a child
could be killed up till the age of 14...
reason... gave room to get rid of bad apples
before they grew up and voted to keep more
bad apples from being aborted.
Now thats food for thought.
I eat meat... I'm not proud of it but its
called survival of the I'm too lazy to do the
whole garden and healthy life. 
Okay truth be known I started growing my own
foods in a garden and there is simply nothing
better than ripe fresh off the vine foods.
MMMM veal! Really why bother paying for
prison inmates when we could just eat em
instead... zap the poisons outa their flesh
with the power of the sun and dice and spice
em up... surely its extreme but it'd save
us tax payers a bundle.
Why retire when you could just jump into a
meat grinder and help feed a hungry family?
As for those who are vegans...
What you got against animals? huh? Eat em
up unhealthily yum!!
I still think its a shame we allow bad apples
to run around and cause as much havoc as they
do. Its understandable kids are gonna cry
and be slightly rebelious here and there but
those that are violent and disrespectful...
eesh if its the parents fault lets eat the
parents too!

Those beef logs they sell are the whole cow....eyeballs,and all
zestful...those eggs are way different aren't they? The ones from the stores are really disgusting. I'm sure if people knew the difference they would go to raising their own...

Anysupbabes , as for the topic of murder and
meat...
Science, when yah get down to the nitty gritty
of food and what has feelings... has shown
long time ago that plants have feelings too..
certainly they can't project those feelings
to the outside world just as easy as it is for
the oxygen breathing critters... but they do
emit electrical impulses large enough to be
measured with not really sophisticated equips,
so next time one chops down a tree at least
say "Hey sorry but I gotta build a house and
I'm too lazy to make one outa clay."
That would explain the reasoning behind those
people that will only eat eggs* and fruits
and veggies of the not the whole source of
life parts. Thus killing nothing... unless
you count that half of a whole is still a
you know like... spermicidal tendencies...
*non-fertilized eggs
Which I bet some scientists went and tested
sperm for feelings... feelings of something
other than "wheres that confounded egg???"
As inquiring minds sometimes get so bored its
ridiculous! and wanna know...
As for whether meat is as unhealthy as its
made out to be... my Grandfather simply had
to get three triple bipasses and whalla all
that bacon was fine and dandy. For what
slows us down there is allways caffiene and
or excersize.. plus plenty of nutritional
foods that keep the arteries clean!
Eating meat for those that wanted to know is
quite a substitute to the sun... I forget
why but for those that live in northern
climates or say yah work in a cave and don't
get lots of sun... be sure to eat your meats.
Those southern people won't need as much meat
as long as one stays in the sun enough plus
consume fruits that'll combat the harmfull
effects of the sun.. and whalla! Ballance is
good.
I myself simply can't wait till we have the
likes of soylent green*... and with the way
women** find themselves with no other joy in
life besides pumping out children... its
bound to happen sooner than probably even I
think.
*People food.. well at least nobody will starve
since we won't ever run outa people... after
we extinct the cows and the room for growing
real food... fished the oceans to death...
Eh just I can't wait to see things get as
interesting as the likes of that...
"Logan's Run" is what I'll be doing! Fun fun~!
**Some?/most? women, I don't claim to know all
stats. Just thinking out loud... nothing to
get buggard about.
If meat is murder... so what. Its not like it
was outa spite, vengeance, nor love.
Now those that love meat... hmm I think thats
a bit off the wall.
