Would you rather feed a pleasure (music, art, intimacy) or feed your face? I have often said if I liked sex as well as I liked food, I would be a slut. If I could just find a guy who would dip his body in chocolate....sigh. But then he would have to redipped and redipped and redipped, etc. Then there would be those little gnawing marks. Could this be why I can't find my dream man? How about you - senses or stomach?

Can't I have both?
I mean, I like food and other activities - what's wrong with feeding both? I know if I am with someone who is "mentally challenged" that the food is not good - no matter where we are eating.
I also know, that no matter how intelligent, how good looking he is, if he thinks I have to starve myself to be his idea of a "perfect woman" well, it is not going to work either. So, I have to have both - maybe that is why I am still single?
A case of wanting your cake and eating it too?

I agree with feeding both... Sometimes food can be so sensual it feeds many senses.
Last night a group of us got together for dinner and 1 of the ladies was almost orgasmic in her eating of a piece of chocolate cheesecake... WOW
So feed both and live on

Oh dear. I've always said I'd never have a weight problem if I could find a man who likes sex as much as I do...trouble is that responsibility keeps getting in the way, even now. Good sex over good food...no contest for me. Feed my senses and I have to be reminded to eat...once every day or two (for food, that is) is fine. If it were only that simple...

Senses, most assuredly ...of course "chocolate swooning" is a sense ie: sensual
...I'm almost scared to post what I'm going to say next ( ...wait til I put on my armor, lol), but most of the time I forget to eat (even though I LIKE food)
Feed my senses and I have to be reminded to eat...once every day or two (for food, that is) is fine. If it were only that simple...
Guess I've been living the "simple life" ~giggle~ Full of senseless senses instead of nutrition.

I REALLY like food. It's a good thing I don't gain weight or I'd be about 400lbs.

I'm with Tahoma --eating can be so sensual -- the sight, the smell, the taste, the texture of it around your tongue and teeth, the feel of finger food -- there's even sound to some food -- and I am talking more than Rice Krispies -- carrots, apples...
I love Babette's Feast and Eat, Drink, Man, Woman...
And then there is comfort food -- which in my book is any food prepared and served in love. Where's my napkin? Ah -- I'll just lick my fingers...

I agree that food can definitely be a sensuous pleasure, but if I had to choose one and only one option, I'd feed my mind. No question about it. Eat like a king and slowly mentally regress to a blathering idiot, or feed my mind and live off Mac & cheese and Ramen noodles. And don't laugh...Ramen CAN be quite good with a few dashes and pinches from the ol' spice-rack.
I'll take Homer, Plato, Ovid, Herodotus, Josephus, Dante, Shakespeare, Shelley, Stoker, Stevenson, Dickens, King, Chriton, and all the rest any day of the week with my dinner of Ruffles and Mountain Dew over a dinner of fillet mignon and a dullards' mind.

first thing that came to mind after reading Holding's post was "wouldn't he then be considered a dipstick?"

Eating sensual - not. Eating piggy. That is why I can't have a man dipped in chocolate - I would drown him or chew him to bits with my lust for food.
