Some of my favorite smells...
Coppertone
Play doh
Dead pine needles that have been "baking" in the hot summer sun.
The smell of the the ocean at Nags Head, North Carolina.
The smell of a steaks being grilled outdoors.
I'll think of some more, but for now, it's beddy-bye time!

Vick's VapOrub IS a favorite of mine!
Also...........APINOL!!!! I have a 40-year old bottle of that stuff, and when I'm feeling nostalgic, I'll go to the medicine cabinet, unscrew the top, and go back to 1965!!!  I hope that didn't sound like I was "tripping".. I merely meant the smell takes me back to when I was a kid. Just wanted to clear that up!

"smells" sounds like something from an 8th grade locker room!..... 
two miles from my house is Nickles bakery.......the aroma of the mornings fresh baked bread is to die for!

Oh yes. "Aroma" sounds a lot more pleasant than subconsciously conjuring up the scent of sweat-socks.

Sun Babe you are right about that the desert landscapes are beautiful but my goodness desert dirt ain't got no good smellllll to it at all. Smells dusty....I know I know it is.
One of my favoite smells is after a rainstorm in the mountains of North GA.
