The Attitude Virus is everywhere. It's contagious and it can spread in minutes. It infects the innocent and kills serenity and tolerance. Symptoms include rudeness, inability to tolerate differences in others, attempting to coerce others to change their behavior to match yours, and increased stress. Long term effects result in relationship turnovers, lost self esteem, an overall hostile environment, and a paranoia about why everyone is against you.
People with bad attitudes spend the better part of their days figuring out ways to tell other people off, complaining about other people's actions or thoughts, and defending their own objections to whatever they think is wrong with the world. This is mainly the result of dissatisfaction with themselves and life in general. This costs years of lost time that could be spent laughing and generally having a good time.
Mo T. Vation warns that unhappy and generally grumpy people carry the virus, although unresponsive and misinformed some people in our own communities have been identified as hosts.
The Center for De-tolerance Control (CDC) has identified several new disabling strains of the virus. Easily recognizable strains are the "why can't you be like me", "let me tell you how to do it", "isn't that other person crazy" and "steamer" (hothead) strains.
The Attitude Virus, Mo T. Vation continued, infects the healthy and the innocent unsuspecting person and threatens the bottom line in lifestyle in a very short time.
If you come in contact with this virus...run to the nearest decontamination area and be sure to sterilize yourself...this is a very serious virus!LOL....I read this somewhere and had to share it. I do believe that attitude is very contagious....good or bad. I believe that my own attitude can affect others, just as others do affect me. Are there any others out there who think this sounds familiar?
P.S. I know I have had the 48 hour strain a couple of times myself!

My mother immunized me when I was a kid. She usually administered it with the back of her hand.

I work with a lot of young people infected with this virus...hmmm...now if I could just get them to take their medicine, it would reduce the risk of my contracting the deadly strain and passing it on myself.......

And what exactly is that supposed to mean, huh? You hippies make me sick, it's because of people like you, I have the need to destroy stuff. Now if you would excuse me, I have the feeling that there is a sniper on the building across street waiting to shoot me and I'd hate to disappoint her.
Just so you all know that is not my actual thoughts, however I suspect that one of the voices in my head thinks like that. I agree that kids these day need an attitude adjustment, time outs are a joke and don't really work. Getting you rear end wacked so hard you can't sit down for week is effective, just look at how great I turned out.......ok bad example. Kids these days don't know how easy they have it.

I've got an attitude, I know it. I don't expect other people to act or think like me, and I certainly don't get angry when they do not....but....if someone gets me angry, they know. And I am not ashamed of my attitude.
I'd NEVER hit my kids. What would that do, teach them that hitting is the way to tell other people that what they're doing is wrong, or instill fear in them and make them afraid of me? Yeah, that's the way I want my kids to think of me. I want my children to respect me, not fear me and think of me as all-powerful-dictator. I have seen punishment and time out be ineffective but I have also seen hitting do more damage than benefit. And in my mind I'd rather a punishment be ineffective than me hitting my child do him any sort of harm.

True. Those in good spirits will typically avoid others with snotty or bad attitudes because it's highly contagious.
