While some people are into professing their Christian religion, I'm wondering if there are any people out there professing NOT to have a particular religion, or are explicity against Christian Dogma, "intelligent design", Bush's equation of "freedom" in China with "printing Bibles in China"?

So you claim to be human? I think that is a bad call. When the aliens from outer space land, I am going to be holding a star chart and asking for dirrections. This will work while the humans are zapped out of existance. But the aliens will probably have me turn left at Vega and wind up lost again.

I'm agnostic because I'm not going to rule out any possiblity, but god is definitely NOT a part of my life. I believe more in Karma, fate, etc. I love not having to go to church (after years of forced Catholicism).

That's also why I'm not a vegetarian, in case the aliens come down and wipe out all the vegetables.

Count me in on this one! I have no problem with anyone's beliefs, whatever gets them through the night's fine with me. All I ask is to be allowed to believe as I wish, without hindrance or harassment from anyone who chooses to believe otherwise. Funny, I thought freedom meant the right to make your own choice; not the right to make the choice the right wants you to make. Oh, and by "I", I mean all of us, by extension. Kind of like the royal "WE", but different.

I was born and raised catholic but I left the church.. I'm spiritual but dislike religions.. Lots of evil has been done in the name of religion... Even today, there are priests that are touching little kids and the church is protecting them
I've decided to never associate with any religion again even though I do believe in god..

I agree with corvette. You don't have to "belong" to any organized religion to believe in God and try to be a good person.

from my narrow perspective, narrow being what the most intelligent human can have, and that makes mine extremely narrow, i look for common ground and agreement upon terms.
so, what do you mean by "religion", "christian", god , or "intelligent design"? pick one or all....
my most recent mental mastication has been on "ID"....
checked out the definition of "intelligent" to begin with....
then looked at definition of "evolution"...
looks to me like one and the same general thing...
what do you think?

Humans (collectively speaking) have committed far worse atrocities then just Christians....
In fact if we remove all the humans I bet the number of atrocities would go way down...;)

They gonna tellyou they believein themselves.
wellin my opinion regardless of whatever religion you believe in..whats themost important is how to treat human
beings in a way thats good. When they come toyou let themfeel good and not bad. thats my point. regardless howmuch they have in their pocket. and their race.
I believe theres always someone above us..looking downand guiding us. we have toshout his name....and share his works...

It's been done, removing the humans, that is ... see the surprising answer to the "who was the greatest mass murderer?" post.

I quit the church altogether after finding out that a priest there had been browsing the Internet for young boys. My son was an altar server there, and had actually gone to a water park in a group with that particular priest and it totally skeeved me out. Apparently he never acted on his impulses (they told us) but just the fact that he was around all these pubescent boys in their bathing suits made me completely sick over it.

So, let's see. Have any one of you gone on a date with a holy roller willingly? What was the experience like?
I witnessed the transformation of one of our office adminstrators who I liked, joked with, etc. Looking for some stability in her life as single mom of a 3 year old, she slowly went christian due to another office administrator who befriended her.
So, enough history, at one point I open a wedding invite in the office, and she said she would go with me. The wedding was cool, but then back at her house, I get a wine induced jesus-is-your-only-savior speech. I mean, okay, big deal, "Tell me, are you a Christian, child?" "Man, I am tonight!" as the song goes. I already resigned myself that this was going anywhere like that. As a friend I stayed because it was ammusing, but I didn't realize how far she had slipped. Now "as my friend", she was concerned for me and started in on the "all the other religions, including not having one, are wrong, and fire and damnation was in my eternal future, unless ....". Oh God I had to get outta there, politely, after the wine was finished.
Anyway, for those who like conclusions, she met a nice older guy on some C-date service, married him, collected his kids, moved to Pennsy.
