I agree... There are a lot of features that could be added.. I hope that they'll add some of them..
I administrate a discussion board myself and on my forum, you can look up recent posts of any member..

Forums are great but can be addictive...
On a car related message board, I accumulated over 113000 posts in 4.5 years... Well, did most of those posts from work..

I've had mine viewed more than in the past, but nowhere near the numbers some of you have mentioned. I'd forgotten I still had a profile on this site until the boards came back.
