you know who you are, as soon as you jump on a thread - it's like the bubonic plague just hit, everyone scatters for the hills like roaches exposed to daylight, you're left standing there, all alone, wondering "hey everyone - where'd the party go"
well, i'm going for a new world record - i want to see if
(1) if it's possible to kill your own thread
(2) kill my own thread before it even starts
so in the interest of scientimific explanification - here goes nuttin' ......

I am wondering what you believe kills a thread. To me 2 sure ways to do it are to;
Put long, drawn out or technical posts and most people opt out No one wants to read a book. I tend to skip a lot of the written word and too many of them and I am gone.
or
Put a short post, so sarcastic or ignorant, that no one wants to reply to it.
