Born baptized (Altar boy) confirmed Roman Catholic...

Ma and Pa divorced... I manifested it... even though
I prayed for them to stay together... looking back I
say I manifested it for while I conciously prayed for
them to stay together, I subconciously prayed that
all the loud arguements would end.

Any divorce... I was a middle child who had lots of
time to introspect and think... often side stepped
by those around me.. not quite ignored just not
noticed as much as my elder brother who felt the
need to lead and not as much as the younger brother
who felt the need to cry/get(baby of family need I
say more) hurt/allergies/more need for attention for
it was learned he would get the attention ...alot.

My childhood was dull... not much trouble happened
which led me to believe I had one hell of a Guardian
angel watching over me.

Lets see... I thought alot... and played with the
idea of Atheism.. and Satanic goofballing... I often
for mostlikely the fear effect played around with
drawing pictures that included the number 666 and
upside down crosses.. new school, didn't really fit
in and it was just the cool thing to do... a shock
effect that kept the bullies from thinking I was
some weak kid to prey upon... though I for the most
part was out to prove that there was no God... by
that of picking the Catholic Bible apart with all
of its weird non-reality based stories. All the
while I was a good honest very honest stayed outa
trouble causing kid.

I enjoyed and still enjoy a religious debate... I
enjoyed it so much that I learned alot about
several different religions and when it came to
college and philosophy classes wow-oh-WOW! I
wanted more and more... and my brain was on over
drive, when I wasn't thinking drugs sex love and
fun fun with friends. When it came to my older
brother's friends who also enjoyed a good ol
religious debate... Wahoooooo! They where right
up my alley... seems the friends of my generation
where more just into sex love drugs and rock and
roll. Yeah I liked rock and roll and all the
rest.. just my family has alot of thinkers... er
not only did they think they simply enjoyed
talking out their thinking... which frustrated
me often as far as some people, for some people
come from alcoholic thinking and especially
thinking out loud is bad... probably bad for it
made their teenie tiny brains hurt.. lol... gotta
love em anyhow because one could allways think
at least my life isn't as brain fried as those
humans. Also another thing I'll give those
friends of mine that chose to not think as much
as me... was that they were at least more grounded
than I was... they learned the game of how to
talk country how to talk get any girl in the sack
by confessing dumbfounded love of their lives for
and they knew how to talk about farts and laugh
neverendingly about them.. they knew how to have
really silly fun... plus while they included lots
of drama in their lives they did make up for the
drama with party till you puke... ah just seems
my thinking kept me from jumping in the sack with
whatever gal was around to jump in the sack with.
As I'm the guy that had the woman said shut up and
just kiss me... I'd keep yapping about stuff that
concerned them diddly squat for they just wanted
love and that means children... kiss me so we can
have the baby that I want and its all that I want.
ug... caveman intelligence... er cavewoman
priority.

Tell em you love em and play stupid.. is all that
really needs to happen.. thing is you really have
to be stupid to be able to pull that off. Plus
don't think about God... just claim that you
believe in God and that is why you'd never cheat
on them... then cheat on them for thats what you
do when your intelligence works on a dog eat dog
mentality then again that is if you want them to
leave you... so simply be good and stay dumb and
it'll all work out... but... problem the being
dumb.. eh drink alcohol. Bingo!

Back to neverminding other people and how life
works to what about me... where do I fit?

Am I a buddhist? its just like Christianity but
without the living a ritual lifestyle can I still
be buddhist? why be buddhist? several items is
appealling about those monks. and still
what happened to bring me to where I am today...?

I'll tell yah... I fell into infactuation with
a gal... my trait of thinking plus my reflecting
her jelousy issues due to my drugging... had her
pull a splitsville with me. To this day we are
friends but I'm but her thinking friend who she
shuns for I make her brain hurt. hahaha Which
is cool, then again if i could find a gal that
makes me forget all about my friend yay! Came
close several times, circumstances bent..

But, all in all I allong the way encountered a
flight of fancy... a what is God? what is this
world about... who is God? We are all part of
God... but... nevermind God... I want my ex
girlfriend back... hmmm patterns developed...
allongside astrology patterns... I del

Pardon Good question deserved a nice long answer..
at least from me anyhows..

hmmm patterns developed...
allongside astrology patterns... I delved deep
into not only Wester Astrology (Leo, Aries, Gemini,
etc. ) but also Eastern Astrology (Boar, Sheep,
Goat, Snake, etc.) and found striking wow this
is what it is! Plus I found out that daily
horoscopes are not accurate... why?? because...
they are only accurate if the reader manifests
the same occurances. If the reader manifests
a different outcome blammo... horoscopes are but
fluff. And how did I learn this? I spent 12
years in and out of very short relationships
with several women allways wanting the girlfriend
that I wanted~!~ the one I spoke first about in this
post... anygirlfriend... I am just saying I took
a long time to get to the conclusion that i got
to... not much going on in my life... not much
drama/just like in my childhood...

Drama sidetracks.

So in my theological woopdie do I encountered the
how to manifest... but ran into the trouble of
besides finding that I couldn't manifest my free-
willed girlfriend into my arms when i all in all
couldn't stand that she'd reject me for I like to
think and debate and she doesn't... I could
manifest brothers falling in love and staying that
way... I could manifest that none of my friends
nor family that where in dramatic circumstances...
would ever die... I manifested several things
that several would lead them to believe that the
power of prayer works... thing is... manifesting
without God* works also.

*A God outside of oneself.

Back to manifesting... and the power of it... use
it for good or for evil... what is good and what
is evil... I have lotsa angst and subconsciously
I manifest angst... losta people do the same thing
can't help it... bad mood screw everyone...
everyone that you don't know ... easier to make
bleck happen in third world countries... besides
when a tree falls in a forest you don't hear it
scream bloody murder. All in all being a basically
when your at the end of the day where there are no
more tears to be shed... you wish for a possitive
change... peace to the entire world... for maybe
just maybe peace will come Karmatically back to
yourself.

I could go on and on... and well... i did like the
whole charade that a very ellegant writer did here,
LovinMother4yah... and I wonder English Lit major??
Though, she probably is outa my league for i
manifest it that way... plus think too much haha
and at times i think too little...

But... far be it from me to judge(every moment that
I'm not judging i judge be it concious or
subconcious, subconcious can get us everytime if
we don't learn to work with that part...) Eww
makes me think... manifest no subconcious... hmmmp.

Back to this post... pardon my note of ponderance
tangent... please. Thank you.

I miss concious manifesting but it can get very
introspective and hard to function with...

Ballance is what i seek... and i am God... among
Gods. and as for the whole but there is only
one God... I believe that too... for we are all
that one God. Good and bad... trying to be good for
thats survival... and falling into the traps of
bad at times for that too is survival. Nothing
Satanic about it unless one is borrowing from
ritutual religion in order to understand without
having to think any more than one allready thinks
in the realm of indescision.

I don't believe those that believe in a God outside
of themselves heard what Jesus said. They listened
but they where too sidetracked by drama to hear him.

Hard to explain... for its so easy to get
sidetracked. Both for the writer and the reader.

X-thanks for the question... made it more of a
challenge to post and I enjoy a challenge. Cheers!

Look within, not to things, institutions or structures outside of yourself....God's presence may exist in a church, but God is much greater than all of that. God is here, God is there, God is every where and in every moment and in every interaction is the presence of LOVE, whether we recognize it or not. Your very question is LOVE'S PRESENCE.

God is WITHIN YOU. This is the miracle that is so often difficult for us to accept. If you look within and listen to the silence that resonates in the deep recesses of your own body and spirit, you will come to know that your heart is a miracle of fidelity, and your Soul a safe home for your knowing.

Be silent within and you shall see, be silent within and you will hear, be silent within and you shall know....

"Ask and you shall recieve, knock and the door shall be open, seek and you shall find...."

Peace
Angel

truth, I agree, I believe the Almighty knew we wouldn't all agree, so he allowed for so many different religions to be available (roads) you call them, to lead to him. You choose the path which feels the best for you, all faiths try to teach a person to be good, love others, and treat people as you wish to be treated. Try to do your best and let the judging be God's job.

What do you do as a person when you just do not believe alot of what the "church" as a body says

Go within and listen to what resides within your own body and spirit...God is withn you

[QUOTE]What inner force do you pull from yourself or through you expiriences to not let this "void" of sorts over take you ? [QUOTE]

Compassion.

Empathy is the ability to share in another's emotions, thoughts, or feelings.

Compassion is empathy, but empathy with the desire to alleviate suffering.

i just came to realize that the church no matter which one it is, is gonna make its own doctrines and laws that you have to abide by.

If that is the conclusion that you have come to then you have bought a bill of goods that does not exist except in the minds of those that created that bill, and those that they get to buy them. Christ came to set us free. Truly free and that means free from those rules, laws, or doctrines that are created by those trying to appeal to the flesh. For example my group has a rule stating that dancing is wrong and won't be allowed on the property. I know that is a bunch of baloney. So I ignore what they adhere to knowing that God does not care about that one way or the other. In fact He would probably like to see us all dance at some time or another. It really saddens me how many people have been led astray and miss the truth because of well meaning people that claim to know the mind of God yet won't accept what He clearly tells us. To sum it up: Colossians 2
16-So don't let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new-moon ceremonies or Sabbaths. 17-For these rules were only shadows of the real thing, Christ himself. 18-Don't let anyone condemn you by insisting on self-denial...
20-You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the evil powers of this world. So why do you keep on following rules of the world, such as, 21-"Don't handle, don't eat, don't touch." 22-Such rules are mere human teaching about things that are gone as soon as we use them. 23-These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, humility, and severe bodily discipline. But they have no effect when it comes to conquering a person's evil thoughts and desires.

The only rule that has ever been is love. Love people and love God. There are no others and there are no laws or rules against love.

Hi Xavier!

Well, I am a Nichiren Buddhist and I am also a Correllian Tradition Wiccan. It works for me. Usually, I get asked a lot of questions about why I have the belief systems that I have. I explain that it just works for me and that everyone has the right to believe in whatever works for them. I think that it is arrogant to assert that one's own religion/belief system is the "only one true way" for anything! Like a lot of others, I started out as a Christian (Baptist). We were the family that was there every time the church doors were open! LOL! However, I did have questions about the doctrines being taught. They were either never answered or I got the jazz about "only being a woman" or I was just a silly kid, etc. Needless to say, I did not appreciate it! As a result, I rebelled against anything Christian and especially any Baptist doctrines. When I found Wicca and Nichiren Buddhism, I was at a low point in my life; I had this "hole" in my heart that I could not fill so to speak. I was introduced to Wicca by two female friends of mine and I realized that I had a lot in common with them. I became a Wiccan because I believe in Mother Earth and Father Sky and in respecting Nature. I also had an interest in Nichiren Buddhism as well, and I met some people who were practicing Nichiren Buddhism. I was taken by the fact that this particular school of Buddhism teaches you that if there is anything wrong in your life that you have the power to change it and it is NOT some unseen force or higher power keeping you down. In other words, it is a very empowering experience to chant and meditate and know you have the power to change whatever the problem is in your life and not have to depend on some higher power or accept "Oh well! Fate has dealt me this hand and I just have to accept it." Also, neither belief system requires that you can ONLY practice it and no other. Please know this is what works for me and others should do as they see fit. Sorry for such a long post! LOL!

I would not try to make someone see htings thru my eyes, But I will not deny the existence of GOD.
There are just too many signs to prove his word.
One thing I have pondered on is why there are so many religions, with the same concepts.
And I also wonder why mankind..kills in the name of religion where the same basic concept is concerned.
The Crusades..etc...
And how many people know that for Queen Elizabeth's coronation, she was also coronated Queen of the people Israel.

i think buddhism is a religion for one reason

they believe in reincarnation, and that is kinda supernatural right? the transmigration of souls?

of course, there are branches of buddhism that are more secular, like zen buddhism.

Buddhism is the pursuit for complete and true happiness. The kind of happiness that money or material objects can't give you. It's about the absolute appreciation of life and the living. I believe in reincarnation but not due to buddism. There is no proclaimation of god or the devil..Nor is there any proclaimatino of good and evil...So no, calling it a religion wouldn't fit it's description.

right, i understand that buddhism doesnt have a supernatural creator god, but it has a set of beliefs, practices, and systems set by some sort of spiritual leader (buddha)

i havent really thought this much about it, so bear with me :-)

what do you think about what i said above?

i tried to compare what i knew about buddhism to the definition of religion on www.dictionary.com and to tell you the truth, it was kinda hard. probably because i dont know too much about it.

Buddah was a real man, he was actually a prince..I can't remember what his real name is off the top of my head but the statue of him that most people see (not the fat smiling guy) is but when he achieved full enlightenment. He was completly content with his life and he went on to teach what he learned in his travels to others. I know alot of religious figures etc call it a religion and mistake it for one because they see people "praying" to the statue. But they are not praying...Theya are merely paying tribut to his image and in so many ways showing appreciation for the knowlege that he gave. I love to read book by His Holiness The Dahli Lama. They inspire me and make me feel happy.

Buddha's real name is Siddartha Gautama. Siddartha means "every wish fulfilled". He was born in 563 B.C. in the small republic of Sakka, Southern Nepal.

It doesn't matter what religion you are guys. There is only ONE God. It's what you want to believe in. That choice it up to you. Witnesses is a cult and it's a proven fact. It is the DUMBEST thing I have ver heard of it. Now that is NOT far most religion. Any so call religion who doesn't believe in any blood transfusion and saying that they will that person die is pathetic. That is far most NOT from God. There are too many religions and very easilly to get confused. The only think you can do is "PRAY" and God will guide ya. God Bless everyone

CONNY90045 STATED:

It doesn't matter what religion you are guys. There is only ONE God.

Careful there, conny .... to declare anything with finality about God on this forum can lead to flames and dissent. Perhaps you'd be better to say "in my opinion there is only ONE God". Threads get shut down whenever bitter opposing opinions are posted ...

It's what you want to believe in. That choice it up to you. Witnesses is a cult and it's a proven fact.

In one breath you say everyone may believe whatever they choose, and then in the next breath you attempt to invalidate one of those chosen beliefs. Careful ... dangerous waters you're wading into. And when you rely upon "fact" ... be prepared to post those facts. One person's "fact" is another person's "supposition".

It is the DUMBEST thing I have ver heard of it. Now that is NOT far most religion. Any so call religion who doesn't believe in any blood transfusion and saying that they will that person die is pathetic. That is far most NOT from God.

When we are laughing and pointing at someone else who is riding the silly-looking donkey of their religion down the spiritual path of their choice, it is so easy to forget how silly we must look to everyone else because we're riding down our personal path on OUR silly-looking donkey.

There are too many religions and very easilly to get confused.

Then don't speak from confusion ... investigate, learn, attempt to understand what those religions are truly about before writing them off as nonsense.

The only think you can do is "PRAY" and God will guide ya.

That's what got everyone into this mess in the first place ... each person thinks their personal view is "guided" by God. Obviously, God must be "guiding" people in widely divergent and conflicting principles.

God Bless everyone

Now there's a healthy sentiment ... right on!

Oddly enough Connie, Truth is right. I read your post and you were kind though smashed through all your kind words.

I am not going to bash anyone just bc I do not understand them or "choose" not to believe what they believe. Also if you do something different next time your result in your prior situations will change.

If a witness comes to your house to share with you the news, invite them in and offer to share or faith with them, explain you will isten if they inturn will listen. 9 times out of 10 they will leave right there.

My grandfather loved arguing faith with the witness's it was cool for me too, it meant a few less hours working the property and a few nice ones talking about God.

In the end I have learned this, just because I do not belive in it or follow it, does not mean it is wrong. A thought to live by.
