last time I was on here, I got all kinds of emails and I actually met someone from here, and we dated for a while....I was pregnant then too, but not as much as now obviously. This time when I came back, I used almost the exact same profile, and no one really emails me too much...is it because I'm having a baby soon??? that doesnt seem right since I specified that I wasnt looking for a father for the baby....Can someone explain this to me?

If it makes you feel any better, I only get emails from ladies in Ghana or someone claiming to be from the US who I know isn't. To me there is nothing wrong with dating a lady that is expecting, but not everybody must have the same view as I do. I wish you the best of luck in your quest and in your upcoming birth!! Its always a special time!! :)

I just thought maybe people were afraid of me because of the baby, not that I guess I would blame them....the way I see it, it would take a very special man to be able to accept me and my baby, he would need patience and understanding thats for sure. even if I dont find anyone, it doesnt matter....I was just curious...lol :)

Well, the way I see it, the man who you do connect with will have to get to know you first anyhow, then will also have to be good with children. They are out there, it will just take a little more effort on the emotional front!! :) Maybe some guys are just terrified of the actual child birth process, like the ones who faint!! LOL

yeah, I can imagine that alot of men are afraid of the birth process, but since I have less then a month to go before I have my daughter, I dont think I will know someone well enough by then to actually have them in the delivery room....so you are all safe from that...lol

But what guy could resist a lovely lady with a baby?? But maybe this is the best way to weed out the guys looking for just one thing and someone with honest intentions!!:)

yeah, I would think this is a good way to weed out the jerks out there...at this point in my life I'm looking for a little more than just a fling, and I'm certainly not intrested in head games...I have more than just myself to think about now :)

Yeah, it doesnt seem fair that people are like that, especially in this day and age. You hear about so many blended families....I have to wonder how they found each other....I know it doesnt matter to me if a man has kids....I get to know him first, and then of course I'd love to get to know the kids...I guess in some cases there really is a double standard

I think part of the problem is the age of the guys you are likely dating...men mature slower emotionally than women. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule-not painting all of us guys with a broad brush-but a guy in his early 20's usually isn't thinking about "settlin' down" yet-and even if you tell him that he doesn't have to be the baby's father, he still knows that you aren't as "free" as a woman without kids. Be patient, don't lower your standards, enjoy being a mom-the RIGHT man will come along, and you'll be telling us that he was worth the wait!

Mellisa,
With my own personal past expereince of having a baby and being single. The majority of men are scared of the LITTLE baby stage and having responsibility. Even though you say your not looking for a father for your baby.. it will still happen if they get close. It is just a natural bonding stage of life. Now really GF you don't need a man that can't even date you because of a baby. There are men out there that WILL and that type of man is what you really need. A man that is responsible and caring. Believe it or not but even sngle dads with kids have a hard time getting a lady. At first I thought ha no way. But i've heard more and more about it. It is funny onhow many people now a days that has no kids because they are just too busy loving the single kidless life and not experiencing what majority/ responsibility really is.
The right guy will be there for you. And congrats too!
Jacqueline

You are absolutly right that right now I am too busy for a man....lol, the baby isnt even here yet and I am running around like a chicken with its head cut off...I dont really care to find a man right now, mostly I'm just here for something to do when I have a few minutes.
It's funny, everyone is hoping I have her of their birthday....I dont know if I'm even going to make it to the 16th, the way I have been feeling lately..but I will do my best...lol....Thank you for the kind words :)
