DoorWatcher..I am no fan of Country either...I don't find the same pleasure of listening to music with a twang in it...I'll go with Lynard Skynard, but please, no further into Southern Soft Rock....I also got yelled at in my own thread for my opinions of country...THIS IS MY THREAD!!!!!

I could never get into Rap/Hip Hop or R&B. I also can't stand that black metal out of Norway.

Sweet...I love the lyrics to that song!
I went to the Gary Allan/Rascal Flatts concert, but it took so long to get there, I missed Gary Allan. HE was who I wanted to see most!

Pali.... I don't have sound on my computer.... but the song is Kathy Young and the Innocents.... my son, Scott, was able to download it a couple weeks ago, but only on Mike's computer...
I saw her sing it oh... maybe a year and a half ago on PBS.... a Doo Wop special... I swear she sang that whole song on one breath... and her voice has matured... so it's even more beautiful... now... ahhh... the lyrics....

In the early 90's I would have loved to see Metallica. They just are not the same band now. I have only heard maybe one song from Godsmack.

I have one Godsmack CD...no Metallica. Gilby Clark is with Supernova now and he is F-I-N-E. Oh...I guess you guys don't care about that.

One song from Godsmack... Wait. You mean Voodoo, their only song that gets airplay? LOL. Considering you listen to Type O Negative, I'm surprised you don't enjoy Godmack more. Godsmack isnt' really gothic inspired, but it's still a rather moody heavy band.
I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of Type O Negative. I have Bloody Kisses and October Rust. They're good albums, but the songs really start to sound very alike to my ears. However, they do a truly jaw dropping cover of Possession and Cinnamon Girl. I also have them backing up Ozzy on Pictures of Matchstick Men which is also very cool.
As for Metallica, they can kiss my damned ass. They will never get a single cent from me ever again. Bunch of suing litigous rich assholes. I'm downloading anything they put out.
Doo-Wop is very cool stuff. Allman Brothers are awesome. I love their guitar playing. Speaking of which, Gilby Clark is really talented, but I wouldn't know anything about him being fine. I'll just take your word for that, Pal.
Null!

Null...Your points are well taken, but Godsmack has more then one song out on the Airwaves.....Bad Religion, Greed, Awake, I stand alone, Speak, Truth, Shinedown, (you know this one)Voodoo(I often times feel like getting stoned to that song), and some others...
Doo-what? What's that? Now you all have completely lost me...
Metallica...they have been dead since Guns N' Roses came out...If it wasn't for GNR then Metallica wouldn't have come out with the Black album and they wouldn't be where they were in the 90's which is cool....Everything after Reloaded sucked...badly
Was fun watching both of them together though...Metallica and Godsmack...really goes well together...

I never was much of a fan of grunge music or very many bands that came out after grunge died. I'm kind of disappointed in these bands today. Everything sounds the same.
I AM waiting for the new Evanescence CD to come out next week!
