buck rogers may have been cheesey but I remember being a kid and waiting for that next episode, regardless if it was a rerun or not.
How about the original spiderman tv series? the live one, not the animated.
or the original superman?
classics. and they were really really cheesey lol
LOST IN SPACE now there is a classic for ya

Congratulations girlfriend! You're one of those rare girl geeks like myself! We're like one in ten! I not only love scifi, Iove all five star treks, playing video games especially rpgs (zelda, ff) collecting anime and playing talking techie talk with the guys at the computer stores. I hope I can find a guy like that too. Have a nice day...
Later,
El

I don't know if female sci-fi fans are all that uncommon... at the few conventions I've attended, there are plenty of women there (usually with hubby though )... especially if the con has a featured guest who has plenty of appeal. Bruce Campbell showed up at one of these, (late 90's I think) and you wouldn't believe the long autograph lines.
So ladies, all you have to do is let us know you're out there!
As for my own tastes in sci-fi, they're pretty broad... I do enjoy the new BG series that is airing on Sci-Fi channel.

I don't do conventions. I've been reading SF since high school. Asimov, Bova, Clarke, Heinlien to name a few. If you haven't read any of Stephen R. Donaldson,s books, you're missing out. Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle are masters when they collaborate.
