What a crazy show it was! I saw the original Rocky Horror Show play, at the Roxy, in Hollywood. It starred Susan Sarandon, and Tim Curry.
In 2001, I saw the play again, in New York City, on Broadway, and Matt Damon starred in it. I've never seen the movie.
I had the original Roxy show album, but I loaned it to a Rocky fan, and that was the last I saw of it. Darn it!
The one semi-disappointment is, Tim Curry did a tapdance like I have never seen, down that red carpet. He had three-inch spikes on, and he tapped better than any woman I've ever seen. Amazing!

Love that show! Even got my teenage son hooked on it. His ringer on my phone is "Time Warp"! For Christmas, I got him the Rocky DVD and lo and behold.... he got me the same thing, LOL! We're 2 of a kind!

Too cool! Another Rocky fan! My friend, and her daughter, had never had the "Rocky Horror Show" experience, and they gave me a few looks during the play, because I was acting out too. We were given paper sacks with props, and when the "Time Warp" came on...well...you can imagine. I hopped out of my seat, along with MANY others, and started to dance. So guess who is hooked now? Yup! The girls!
When the show was over, mom and daughter cruised down Broadway with their red boas wrapped around their necks. I should post the pic. I know I have it somewhere. Very cute!
I think I may have to get your son's "ringer". Good idea!

Classy, I saw a stage version of Rocky Horror just two weekends ago....GREAT!!!! I saw the movie version Gawd knows how many times years ago. I've been showered with rice, water, toast, and even one underwear...lol

Where did you see it? If it had been there when I was in Michigan, you would not have been able to keep me away.
Here's the pic of the the three of us, right after the show had ended. We are walking down Broadway. I thought my friend's daughter had her boa on in this pic, but obviously not.
BTW, my friend is sunsamza, here at MD.

never saw the movie- but- thanks to vh1 i know the song time warp ( so catchy ) - i think seeing the movie would be great fun . ! .

Dammit, Dammit Janet!!!
I am picking out costumes as we speak - a group of friends and I are off to see the stage show very soon, here in the UK. Such a choice- we can't wait, My daughter also has the ringtone on her phone, which is sweet as she is only ten. We saw a pantomime starring Richard O'Brien last christmas and they played the 'time warp' during the show. She sang it all the way home!

Okay Im ROCKY FANNNNNN have seen in a gazillion times at the Cove in hermosa beach WHILE in full ROCKY regalia and performin diff scenes up on the theater stage... (magenta here !!!)
For one anniversary my Ex gave me the VHS of it that was in 1990 and the going price for the tape was 80 I was floored but I STILL have that tape and my kids love it
we all break it out and dance and play act... too much fun
