I have finished Patricia Cornwell's latest, and Janet Evanovich's latest. Does anyone know of any authors that write anything similar...I like the detective, mystery, romance kind of book.

Have you read any books by Nora Roberts alter ego, JD Robb? Her books are awesome! One of my favorite writers. Her main character in her books is Eve Dallas and she has spunk, mystery, action, and sex. Love all her books, makes you want to inhale them instead of read them.

Some really good authors are Jonathan Kellerman, Heather Graham, Lisa Jackson.
They are good mystery writers, not sure about the romance part though. I know there's a bunch of others I like too but my brain is mush right now. I'll think of more and let you know, Home! Your taste sounds a lot like mine!

a new author is sarah addison allen.. her first book was called garden of spells.. i read it in one sitting.. a southern writter with a " spell bound twist" her second book im starting today. called the sugar queen.. i will review after i read it..Sweet N Louisiana

Just finished reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks
Trying to get into The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski----finding it hard to get into for some reason.
Gonna start an older series by Glen Cook--The Garrett P.I. Series....he said they are pretty good....have ordered the first 3...so we'll see.
Also gonna FINALLY start the Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

Sketching Evil by Donna Anders--not one I would recommend: the characters are not real, very stilted. But it was the one I grabbed out of the bag so I'll read it!
