I am in the field of Theater and Arts working at the Cleveland Playhouse Square as an Engineer and House Tech. I help with the sound system, lighting, and also instrument tuning and calibration . I only work about 30 hours a week in the field, but I am also a Distribution Manager full time. I used to do the band thing but I find that what I am doing now is a great learning experience, and I get to do what I enjoy doing.

I grew up playing flute, clarinet, oboe, piano and started learning guitar. I also have sang all my life and was in a girls pop group when I was in my early teens and did alot of local and state music competions for both singing and instruments. I miss playing instruments I can't play any of them much anymore due to arthritis and carpal tunnel in my wrist.

I played the flute briefly in my youth, performed in musical childrens theatre once upon a time. Have written plays for young children, and directed children in musical theatre. I am not a musician but have a weakness for those who have been bestowed such a wonderful gift.
PS .. was a stage Mom too , while my very talented daughter performed on stage, film and television.

I wanted to play the clarinet but my parent's instead bought me a piano, they meant well, but I was so disappointed. We lived in Rochester, NY then and they gave me piano lessons for 3 years from an alumni of The Eastern School of Music in Rochester. I know they sacrificed for me but to this day I wished I had learned to play the clarinet. The piano still sits in my FL living room, waiting for my daughter to pick it up someday and take it to NC. Right now it's a place to put all my pics of my grandchildren....lol.

Certainly not professional, but play the guitar, just for fun, campfire / kitchen parties type stuff. I also sing when I play but enjoy it most when the whole room is singing along! My daughter is also a player, singer and great writer. (mind you I may be a wee bit biased )

I'm a Composer and play a little of all the instruments, although the flute and keyboards are my most practiced when composing and recording. I make my own CD's too.
