I would have to go with The Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck; Crime and Punishment, Fydor Dostoevsky, and The Woman In The Dune, by Kobo Abe, and probably in that order.

Way too many to think about right now.
Of Mice and Men was one of the first I couldn't put down.

The complete book of home repair (non fiction)
How to stay out of debt ( forget author, also non fiction)
The bible ( my life application bible)
Fiction puts me right to sleep and I find it a waste of time. Maybe in my old, old age I will read some classic literature, be nice to have some escapism when I can do little else.

I can't choose three. My list would go on forever, if I could remember it.
Childhood: The Yearling Caddie Woodlawn Shakespeare for Teens Daphne du Maurier's books Madeline de L'Engle's books
Teenager: The Scarlet Pimpernel - Baroness d'Ozcy Good Times, Bad Times - Can't remember Les Miserables - V Hugo The Count of Monte Cristo - Alexander Dumas Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen A Separate Peace - John Knowles (?)
...I could go on and on. Sorry...

Well if I have to limit it to 3 I guess they would be;
Atlas Shrugged Lonesome Gods and last but certainly not least The Walking Drum
It was really hard to pick only 3 but that was the question and I am a very avid reader.

My favorite books are The Hobbit and the Lord Of The Rings books. Besides those, I really like Catch 22, The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, and The Giver.
As far as non-fictional, I'm currently reading and enjoying Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.

When I was young, I would have said Lord of the Flies, All of Mark Twain's work, and The Stand by Stephen King. I forgot to mention Moby Dick... Oh boy, so many more.....
Now that I am older, I would have to say Great Expectations, Metamorphosis, Absolom, War and Peace... I have way too many favorites to just go with three...
