There are many, but to name some, I suggest Jesse (Ethan Hawke) in Before Sunrise, then Ryan Gosling as Noah in The Notebook... and the unforgetful Colin Firht as Jamie in Love Actually...

Well..I'm not sure about "opposite gender", since this character is not Human. Though, he has the most masculine personality ever. It's Chubacca from Star Wars. Remember? The one which is a "creature of few words" ( actually , NO word was said by him throughout all the movie ) , tall and athletic, hardly "pretty" but it's obvious he didn't develop any inferiority complex around his appearance. Humble and self-confident, he's an adept when all those pretty stars need to get their spacecraft fixed ( something they cannot do just by making speeches and all their "hey, look at me" attitude.) Indeed , if the guy were Human , he would sure make irresistible person...

My favourite would be Nick Andros (Rob Lowe) in Stephen King's The Stand.

OMG, newlife , NON-HUMAN character ??? Isn't is ...well...sort of perversive idea? I mean - on this site ( since I'm myself a great fan of cartoon characters , but I never saw them as having any gender at all ).

LOL,capital, what's so "perversive" about this character? He has 100% Human personality . He doesn't look like Human, but then again, not all Humans actually look like Humans should look like either ... He's a good friend - always there for his buddies , he's great team-player and he is a wizard when it comes to his trade. Wouldn't you prefer to have such friend to some pretty and eloquent but useless one ? Well...I guess not - that's where men and women differ , right?
Ok, here's Human character. It's an old (1987 ) movie named "Happy New Year" starring Peter Falk . Nick , his character , is one of the most charming men ever gracing the screen - adventurous , creative and romantic. This role is probably the best one of Peter Falk. I wish I were lucky to meet such kind of person in real life...

LOL,burns, you really should read opening posts carefully ...otherwise you might get your sexual orientation questioned. It states: "of the gender OPPOSITE TO YOURS", pal. ( The idea is to let MD members an opportunity to "illustrate" their idea of "dream partner" here. )
