Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in current events... might get more views here. I just read that Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in Soho this afternoon. No further details just yet.
 How sad is that? He was only 28 years old and left behind a 2 year old little girl.
He was found in his bed by his housekeeper... what a loss.

TMZ has learned that 2006 Academy Award nominee Heath Ledger has died in NY.
He was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3:35 PM ET today. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they believe it was not a crime.
The 28-year-old actor has a two year old daughter with former fiancee Michelle Williams -- they separated in September, 2007. He plays the Joker in the upcoming Batman film, "The Dark Knight."
MSNBC is reporting that the actor was found, surrounded by pills.

Hollywood actor Heath Ledger has been found dead at a downtown Manhattan residence, a New York Police Department spokesman has said.
"He was found unconscious at the apartment and pronounced dead," a police spokeswoman said.
It is not yet clear how the 28-year-old Australian actor, who earned an Oscar nomination as a gay cowboy in 2005 film Brokeback Mountain, died.
Police said he had been due to have a massage at the flat.
The housekeeper went to tell him the masseuse had arrived and found him dead on Tuesday afternoon, police spokesman Paul Browne told Associated Press news agency.
Police said they did not suspect foul play in the death of the Perth-born actor.
In September he split from his girlfriend Michelle Williams, with whom he has a two-year-old daughter, Matilda.

Ledger's housekeeper found him dead in his Manhattan apartment, New York police said.
He died at 3:26 p.m., they said.
The New York Fire Department received a call at 2:27 Tuesday responding to a "cardiac arrest call" in New York.
They found an unresponsive male dead at the scene.
In 2005, the actor played Ennis Del Mar in "Brokeback Mountain," about two cowboys who had a secret relationship.
The role earned him the Oscar nomination.

OH MY GOD.......................that just saddens me beyond belief. Wow. Yes...he is Australian. The first movie I saw him in was "10 things I Hate About You". he filmed it six blocks from where I lived......at the high school my daughter attended for awhile before we moved. Just sad beyond belief. He was a gifted actor and he could have been my youngest brother's twin at the same age.

Law enforcement has confirmed to TMZ prescription pills were strewn around Heath Ledger's bed. The cops are waiting for the Medical Examiner.

I'm going to wait for the details before making any strong comments. At 28 yrs-old and no previous public disclosure of health problems, it certainly looks drug-related, but we'll see.

TMZ has learned that Heath Ledger was found dead at an apartment owned by Mary-Kate Olsen.
And then posted minutes later...
A highly credible source connected to Heath Ledger tells TMZ the apartment where the actor was found was not owned by Mary Kate Olsen or related to her in any way.
So...maybe not
