Watched the new show als t night and was somewhat dissapointed. Is it just me or does it not seem to be as good this year. Don't really like the couples thing and that is maybe why I am not enjoying the show. Will watch a couple of more times to see if it gets better and if not will write it off.
They say they "matched" the people with their ideal mate and wonder how they missed that 2 of the people on the show have been dating for over 9 months. Then they did not even match them up together. Anyone besides me think they rushed this group to fast as a result of the writers strike.

I think they purposely DID NOT put those two together. Notice the fireworks it's already creating? Albeit, boring fireworks but fireworks none the less. I'm not impressed either with season 9 so far.

I think they purposely split them up as well. I guess Big Brother wanted to make it a little bit more challengingly for them, since they already have someone in the house that they can completely trust in. Personally, I have not really been into this season's show so far. The time between this season and last season wasn't long enough. I am kinda bored of it already.

I say you are right Gray....it is nowhere near as exciting as previous years....i seriously doubt they matched the couples up as being their soulmates due to the fact that Adam and Sheila clearly do not make a couple at all...!!!....also...why the hell would Ryan and Jen tell their secret in the early episodes....they had to know it wouldn't stay within their circles....so might as well put a target on those two....which isn't fair for the two players that came in to win only to be matched with the secret couple....i honestly don't feel its fair to the ones who came in with the idea that they were playing for themselves....i just don't think i will get into it as much as the other 8 of the series....its early and i'm already sick to death of hearing everyone bicker.

I agree with all you said dazee and did not even watch it last night. May watch the show this week and see if it is any better and if not will probably just write off this season and stick with survivor and reruns to fill the time or maybe just read a good book.

You never know though Gray...we just may get fooled....it usually takes a few times before we get to know the new batch of contestants....i remember not liking most of the others until it basically got really juicy towards the end....so maybe we'll be in for a surprise.....or maybe not... ...i also think i liked it so much better in the summer for some reason........

dazee, it is not so much the individuals that I don't like. I do not like the couple format for some reason it just does not sit right with me and I think it is unfair that a persons destiny can be tied to something, or someone, they have no control over. I prefer the game played by individuals and then all the scheming and plotting that goes on to try and gain favor with the others. Just seems more exciting to me.

While I think they sent the right persons home last night I still am not turned on by the show this season at all. It just seems to be missing somthing and not sure I can put my finger on what it is.
I had thought it might get better but for some reason it seems to be getting worse, at least in my mind. Think I will stick with Survivor and Biggest Loser for right now and let Big Brother blow in the wind.

Yep BB is not as good this year. I don't even really like most of the people in the house. They seem very shallow for some reason.

I guess I'd better watch tomorrow night though (Tues.) They are showing clips of someone on a stretcher. Guess we need to find out what's going on.

Wow! 2 medical emergencies at once on BB! Allison had an allergic reaction to something and her throat closed, tongue swelled and face swelled up. At the same time a nurse was with Allison, Amanda fainted and it looked like she had a seizure also. Luckily the nurse was already there but then EMS came and took Amanda to a hospital. Most exciting episode so far this year! I just hope both are ok. There's still 15 min to go so maybe we'll get some info on how they are.

happy, I have watched all the seasons of Biggest Loser and enjoy it very much. It is really amazing to see what these people can do with a little direction and will power. Even enjoyed the couples season they are having, , unlike what Big Brother is doing.

gray... I agree with your comments about the biggest loser. I too have watched it from the begining. And I think it takes a lot of courage to be in front of millions of people watching you struggle to lose the weight. I am always so proud for them when they lose even one pound.

happy, I agree and wonder if people ever stop and think about how much courage it takes for these people to just get up on thatscale for the first time.
Was sorry to see Mark go home last night but was glad that he finally stood up and kept his word. He really was the right one for them to send home since he is the closest to their weight goal. He does not have that much more to lose to get to his target weight.

Im not crazy about the big brother format this year either, but I can understand why they did it. They botched the selection process.
They ended up selecting people who would not have been interesting enough over the course of the entire season, so they decided to cut the season in half by pairing everyone up. That way it goes twice as fast and we can forget about this season sooner.

At least that whiny voiced amanda is gone except along with her went one of the two best looking men in the house, the other already being booted out with the other loudmouth Jen. Suks when there no men to eye.
