Classic Rock Psychedelic Rock Folk music Ethereal/Skeleton Bands/Goth rock (Voltaire, Black Tape For A Blue Girl) Classical Music Neo-classical music (Stravinsky) German Metal 80s music Tv Themes (my best friend and I have been listening to TV Themes for years and it's a habit now) Indian music (Ravi Shankar)
Oh, I forgot to add: I love 90s music. It was a part of my childhood, so I'll never let go of it, no matter how bad it was.

A lot.... 1. Rock 2. Metal 3. Gothic Symphonic Metal (eg Nightwish) 4. New Age (Celtic, Native American, and artists such as Enya, Lorenna McKennitt and Enigma) 5. Classical (Beethoven and Mozart) 6. Music from the 1920s right on to the 1990s. (I love Glen Miller) 7. 80s Music, because I was a teen at the time and when you are a teen that is the music you adore for the rest of your life. 8. very few country and western, (Johnny Cash or Marty Robbins)
Now being from Trinidad you might find it odd I not stated Calypso and you right it is odd, I do not flavor 99% of it.

Anything that is done at the highest standards which means the technical excellence is exceeded by artistic creativity and passion. My least favorites are opera and rap which are both overdone with musical runs and words. There are certainly the rare pieces of opera and rap that I would enjoy at the right moment, but I'm not on a mission to find them.
Although I listened to and enjoyed plenty of KMET and KLOS as I grew up in the 60's and 70's, and really expanded my list of favorites by becoming a disc jockey at the local community college for a semester, my all time favorite music from that period was:
The Beatles CSNY Neil Young ELP King Crimson Yes Genesis Gentle Giant PFM Jethro Tull The Moody Blues Jemi Hendrix Cream Led Zeplin Supertramp Ambrosia Boston Styx Queen Neil Diamond Bob Seger Steely Dan Bruce Springsteen Deep Purple Pink Floyd Heart Symphony Fantistic, by Berlioz and more that I'm not thinking of right now
My favorite Country artists are:
Loretta Lynn Shania Twain Martina McBride andmore that I'm not thinking of
My favorite Pop and Rock music artists are:
Mowtown and all Good Time R&R artists from the 50's and 60's The BG's The Eagles The Doobie Brothers The Almond Bro's 3 Dog Nite Kylie Monique and more that I'm not thinking of
My favorite Contemporary Christian artists are:
First Call The Kry Big Tent Revival Hillsongs Audio Adrenaline DC Talk Newsboys Passion98 Third Day and more that I'm not thinking of

I mostly listen to jazz & blues. From the big bands of the 30's & 40's to today's jazz performers like the Marsalis brothers. Really love Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Nancy Wilson, Dinah Washington. I do have a bit of everything in my music collection. County, R&B, smooth jazz, classical.

To know my spins is to know me. A song to me is just something I would have said myself if I could have said it first.
