Personally, I can't stand rap and have trouble accepting it as an art form, but I will give credit where credit is due. Kid Rock is also a great white rapper.

Must admit. I am not a rap fan at all either. There are early numbers that have credited with starting the rap movement (as I have read) that I really like. Two that spring to mind are:-
Bob Dylan - Subterranian Homesick Blues.
John Lennon - Give Peace a Chance.
