We got off topic on a topic in D&R, and started rambling about scifi & fantasy books; now I'm curious. What's on everyone's current reading list? Here's mine...
Children of Light and Children of Darkness by Rienhold Neibur (just finished it tonight; fascinating nonfiction)
Ezra Pound's Selected by New Directions (I'm not happy with the selection of Cantos so far )
The King Must Die by Mary Renault (reread, but one of my favorites)

I've been reading the 911 report but I'm thinking "fiction".

I'm reading a book called "Get Me Out of Here" which is a book written by a woman with Borderline Personality Disorder. It's an amazing book.

I got up in the middle of the night and started reading a book my sister gave me for christmas. It's by Patrick Lane titled "what the stones remember". It's about his first year of sobriety.
It didn't really interest me but Ive become drawn into it.

HR online class, but i've recently stumbled onto an online fiction website. i read "father xmas must die". i wasn't sure if i'd like it; it was an excellent read and too funny. for me, it's hard to find decent, contemporary fiction.

RareQuestor, I haven't read Feast for Crows yet, but it's been recommended enough times that we're putting it on the reading club list! Can't wait...
Instead of posting tonight, I'll be reading Roger Shattuck's "Forbidden Knowledge: From Prometheus to Pornography." Those crazy lit critics...

Have you finished it yet? I read it last week. I'd love to talk about it, but not until you've finished it. I don't like giving away endings.

Well, danae, I bought AFFC in late November and have already read it eight times from cover to cover which speaks volumes about how riveting it is.
Lah22, if you have access to the Usenet, there is a newsgroup dedicated to the works of George R.R. Martin: alt.fan.grrm.

Me neither, Aurora...I reread both of the Henry the Fourths over the last three months. I just feel sort of an allegiance with the prince, especially at this time in my life! If you don't have a wise old elder around, Shakespeare's the next best thing

Edited because I can't keep my Henrys straight...

@ Exiled
They've become very entertaining, haven't they? Like little fortune cookies, except they're not crunchy and they have sauce in them.
I can't sit still and not read something; since they don't make those little wise packs of sugar anymore, I've been forced to read nutritional info pamphlets. Not a great idea, with a grilled stuft burrito in one hand
