Crooners get voted off because none of them have been good enough to continue.. if there was a Harrick Connick jr , ?Sinatra etc amongst the contenders....i am sure they wouldn't have gotten voted off... Am idol is mainly a giant Karaoke competition...so it has been good to see actual musicians do well... eg Beau etc etc. This yr,,,pickler started well....but once the music was added,,,,her inexperience and lack of voice is coming thru. this yr ..I am bad for names... it should be between taylor hicks and that larger Black lady....shis is fantastic. taylor on the other hand is an actual musician...so therefore deserves it as well. But I pick these two in the end.The young girl with the squeaky speaking voice,,,,well she is just too full of herself....and this will be her downfall in the end. that trait is showing up more and more.

thanks for the info,,I am so bad with names...always have been since I was a kid... she is the best of the females by far.And taylor..not the best of the singers in male..but as a whole package and someone the public will go for,,he is the best... so I suspect him and Mandisa or the bald rocker guy and mandisa in the last two. I am lucky I have actually picked the right one every year as sson as I saw the auditions...but I did choose Degarmo? over Fantasia......so I was wrong that yr....Taylor is still holding back at this point..in the future hw will get more into some big production blues numbers...I am sure of it.tough chopice between him and Mandisa...Mandisa is so cute ! :o)

Mandisa has an awesome voice. I absolutely worship Taylor-he does sound so like Michael McDonald. I think Paris is going downhill, Elliot missed it last week, Kelly can sing and can probably sing better-she is adorable. Ace nailed the Micael Jackson song, he's a hottie, but Chris can sing excellent. I wanna adopt Kevin!

Taylor's so great, I love his dance moves and he has such a Ray Charles air about him.
Kevin=adorable
I think Paris went into it expecting to win. I liked her at the beginning. I don't like her now.

My favorites are Taylor, Mandisa, Chris and Ace. I really like Elliott, too, but he did screw it up last week. I think Kevin should have been voted off before Gedeon. Man...that kid can sing! But he was a little odd. lol

I've voted for Ace (3 calls), Elliott (3), Mandisa (2), Katharine (1), Taylor (4), Paris (1) and Chris...but Chris' line is always open which means he's not getting a lot of votes. I thought he was awesome! I'm still dialing for him..... call number twelve coming up....

My top 3 are Taylor, Chris and Mandisa. I love Taylor, but I bet it comes down to Chris and Mandisa at the end, which is fine, because they're both really good.
Kevin needs to go. It will be a travesty if his legion of 12-year old text-messenging fans keep him on the show at the expense of another, more talented singer.

Kevin is cute but he's not going to last. Mandisa is incredible. Taylor is my favorite. His enthusiasm is contagious and the talent is earthy and raw.. Chris is great as is Elliot.
But Taylor is my guy...

I *HATED* Chris last night. I'm sorry....but I grew up listening to Johnny Cash and my whole family was insulted by the way that song was arranged. It sounded....well...emo. It wasn't Chris's fault. I usually like him, but he definitely did not get my vote last night. I do not feel it is okay to take a classic song and rearrange it that way. It's like what the band A Perfect Circle did with the song "Imagine" by John Lennon...but that's another issue.
Howbout my girl Mandisa?!?!?!? I think SHE stole the show, and she OPENED it!!!! My dad thinks Katherine McPhee will win...well...I don't. I think that she has a shot, but Mandisa poses a serious, serious threat at this point.
Plus, Katherine as a person seems kind of forgettable.

Mandisa absolutely stole the show. Incredible!! And she looked wonderful
What Chris did with 'I Walk The Line' was brilliant. I love Johnny Cash and have always adored his rendition of that but Chris turned it into something that fit himself. I love the way that he's able to keep a songs intent but can make it a wholly different sound.
And of course Taylor was as great as ever.
