Saw it and liked it very much. One of the best war movies ever made. Not a lot of "action and blood and gore", but a good story and superb acting in portraying the true life elements of what happend during operation Desert Storm.

I second SoftKisses4u's description.
A friend of mine was in Iraq for this latest war...and he said it stirred up a lot of feelings. He said that if I wanted to see how he felt out there, to watch it.

Haven't seen the movie, but read the book which was pretty ho hum...........this may be one of those rare instances where the movie is better than the book!

It's not supposed to be action and bloody...it's about the actual day to day life of a soldier. I havn't see it yet but my ex who was in iraq for a year said it was very acurate and a great movie.
