About the same time that "Volcano" came out with Tommy Lee Jones and Anne Heche, another volcano movie came out with Peirce Brosnan called "Dantes Peak"

The last 3 Star Wars movies I thought were "disaster movies" or where they more of a "sleep inducing movie" or maybe a "How to waste millions of dollar/pounds in making a movie with okay special effects but with a script and acting that made Sharon Stone look like an oscar winner "..or....... umm, okay I thought Day After Tomorrow was a half decent disaster movie

Deep Impact is one that came out about the same time as Armaggedon
There's a Japanese one coming out called "Typhoon". I'm not sure if it comes with English subtitles, but its worth looking into I think.
Theres a mountain climbing one called K2 (1992) about two friends who decide to climb K2, the world's second highest peak.
Others to look out for: "The Abyss" (1985); Airport (1970); Earthquake (1974); A Night to Remember (1958); Runaway Train (1985); Twister (1996)

i love them. i love watching earthquake, the towering inferno, armaggedon, and the hundreds of others but i remember one that i watched many years ago and can't remember the name of it.
it is a 70's movie(or maybe early 80's) that involves a refinery placed in the middle of a city and it catches fire. it burns the whole city to the ground. does anyone know which one this is?
