This was so over the top I actually called my ex-husband.
We used to go see this pseudo garage punk band called the Chesterfield Kings here in Rochester, who were a very big deal for awhile, when that stuff was big, and I just happened to notice, in the fifth season of the Sopranos, 4th episode in, the Chesterfield Kings are playing at Adriana's nightclub in the first scene. Because they are friends of Steven Van Zandt (the Bada Bing guy), because he is a huge fan of that sort of off the wall music (I know because I heard him talking about it on Howard Stern awhile back). I thought that was awesome, I was completely blown away.
The thing is, it took me like the third time of watching this episode before I even realized that's who it was. I'm so floored I can't even remember Stevie Van Zandt's name on the show.

That was really interesting, I'll re-watch that episode now. Love the Sopranos. Think the show hilarious, which may not be the usual or appropriate reaction to the series, but there you are. I'm always amused......
