Wow Mo! Thanks! Ask, and ye shall receive.
I printed out your instructions, and I have checked out my Windows Media. I use Windows XP, so am I going to need that codec? I'll go to the site you gave me and take it from there. I'm pretty sure I have some CD-RW's, so I'll toy with it.
So now I'm wondering why I bought the darned CD burner, if I can use Windows Media. What's the diff?
Oh--I'm listening to Norah Jones.

Hmmm, think we're mixing terms here. When you wrote "CD Burner" I thought you meant the actual CD drive on your 'puter?
There are media burning/recording/file manipulating "programs" that can be used as the interface between the music files on your hard drive and the CDs you want to burn to or record from.
There's a whole bunch of programs like that out there; some of the most popular are Nero, MusicMatch, and Real Player, but there are literally hundreds to choose from (the cnet web site has freeware and shareware programs you can download right onto your computer). It all comes down to preference. Some people don't like using Windows Media Player and would rather use something else, even if it means paying for it. Just depends.

Yep, I've got most of those bands you listed. Although, missed the whole club scene...lol...sounded like fun.
I always had a vision of a cool video for "Mexican Radio". A young couple (circa 1950's, in a two-tone cherry red and white '57 Chevy) is cruising down a lonely highway in the desert at dusk, exchanging furtive glances, almost looking bored. She's fingering her wedding ring, obviously signifying newlyweds. They're listening to the song on the car radio, fingering the dials every once in awhile.
Then, at the end of the song, they look up and see the turn off they had been seeking, but once they turn all you see is a dusty ramp and a sign that says "Las Vegas, Route Closed since 2258" and the car dissolves into the night, with a futuristic panaroma of Las Vegas in the distance.
You see, the couple are ghosts that had a tragic car accident on their wedding night, 1958, on the way to Vegas, and have been driving the route on their anniversary ever since, even though they don't know they've passed away, of course.

Del Amitri "Can You Do Me Good" album (Released Apr 30, 2002)
Review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
There certainly is a randy sentiment within the title of Del Amitri's sixth album, something that suggests seduction and romance, and the band does follow through on the promise of Can You Do Me Good? — at least to a certain extent. From the moment the opening track, "Just Before You Leave," begins, it's clear that there is a subtle smooth soul vibe here, taken partially from Al Green and Marvin Gaye. This doesn't mean that this is a soul record, but that spirit certainly informs much of this record, even though the band never really abandons the clean, sweet, melodic spirit that informs all their work. They even rock a little harder, as on "Wash Her Away," but not so much to change the spirit or attitude of the album, which remains very similar to all Del Amitri records — apart from that sultry soul feeling that seeps through on enough of the tracks to give it a distinctive character. And that's quite welcome, actually.

Margot & the Nuclear So and So's "The Dust of Retreat"
Biography by MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide
The dreamy bittersweet world of Margot & the Nuclear So and So's is the brainchild of singer/songwriter Richard Edwards. In 2004, he formed the eight-piece indie rock collective in his native Indianapolis, naming the band after the Margot Tenenbaum character in Wes Anderson's sophisticated comedy The Royal Tenenbaums. In addition to Edwards' scenic chamber pop sound, Margot & the Nuclear So and So's feature Andy Fry (guitar), Jesse Lee (cello), Emily Watkins (piano), Hubert Glover (trumpet), Chris Fry (drums), Casey Tennis (drums/percussion), and Tyler Watkins (bass).
The band's debut album, The Dust of Retreat, was issued on Standard in spring 2005. The picturesque dozen-song set is themed around the musicians' own fancies of Greenwich Village in the 1960s. Playfully ironic, the modest Edwards has also admitted to critics that the bandmembers aim to play how they feel when they're watching Woody Allen films. In November 2005, Margot & the Nuclear So and So's signed with Artemis Records. A remixed and remastered version of The Dust of Retreat was released in March 2006.

Wanda, I use a web site called All Music Guide (allmusic.com) to learn about music and search for albums. It's an awesome reference tool for not only Celtic, but a whole range of musical styles. You can join for free and hear snippets of songs from most albums; just create an ID.
Anyway, here's a couple links to the site dealing with Celtic music....
Celtic Pop

Traditional Irish Folk

...btw, Clannad is an awesome Celtic-influenced Irish pop band, start with their stuff first.
