Hi, I'm looking for a woman that wants love, someone who is fed up of the British-say-one-thing-mean-something-else/hidden agenda stylee crap that comes with getting to know someone, or people, then a bit further down the line realizing they are someone else you don't really know. If you are sincere, have belief, can stand by your man (like the song), and can last the test of time by not giving up at the nearest hurdle then post it down! Maybe it's just me. I should try an American woman, maybe you're more genuine over there? Phil.

Maybe you just picking ones that just are not real I guess....but then again its real hard to find someone that wants all that you want....the realizing they are something other than you thought they was happens in all walks of life, online, bar/club dating etc ect .....its just the way life can be...yeps it sucks but hey nothing in life that is good is just going to land in someone's lap....and anyhows when ya do make friends on here you will still need to be careful even when you have known them for years...been there and got the T shirt myself....so understand how frustating that can be....all ya can do is hang in there and hope like the rest of us I guess

...he he, three shakin' it up bananas says I definitely haven't been on here for long enough!! ...and you're both right, can't become bitter or give up, gotta have faith that one day the right person will be there at the right time and place. An ex said to me once (near the end): "I don't believe in fairy tales", I was shocked at that, what would seem like, a passing comment, bI think it's better not expect too much, but you have to at least hope there is someone who fits the bill...I mean come on, there's a world of people out there, gotta be someone for everyone...

Maybe you don't wear the right aftershave ! Now as a English guy I would like to say that we give just about the same "Bull" as guys from almost every other place in the World.............Most females give about the same back, Don't give up remember the old saying about there being someone for everyone On saying that I have been looking for over two years without any luck But I am older then you

Being completely honest with you, I'd have to agree that us Brit blokes do give an equal amount of bull. Maybe the secret is not to look. I wish some great woman would grab by bull by the horn! And age just sounds like an excuse!

I think it takes more than one person to make a cultural statement, or to effect a country's mind-set. You being from over here will prob understand. The US, which isn't too popular over here, at least have some sense of who they are, or from what I have read so far care about their elections. They stand for something, even if that can look unjustifiable to rest of the world, right. But over here it's a general cynical attitude where no one wants to experience life at a deeper level, or to stand for anything, or to want to put themselves in a situation where they may be answerable. I think that affects people, maybe not every person, but a majority - better to say one thing so can be forgotten the next. That can affect people at work, at home, in a bar, and the point...with potential partners. Difficult to root out the perfect person but will def hang on in there!

Yeah I think you are spot on there Philly....I think I understand it though...we profess to be a very understanding and open minded country but when it actually comes to i when someone does STAND OUT IN THE CROWD they are singled out and can be ridiculed so many prefer to mingle in the crowd and remain annonymous as such...which is a shame for sure
Maybe the secret is not to look. I wish some great woman would grab by bull by the horn! And age just sounds like an excuse! Well ya never know ya luck Philly but with regards to the age part someone who is older than you and already has children may not wish to have more children and while you are 29 and still have a lot of life to live...you are going to one day wish to have children of you own...now that is where the age part is a real nead to be considered...so maybe not an excuse but being realistic

Well Giggles, I agree with you, and although I'm not in that situation...yet, and I do appreciate what is you are saying, I still think that 'realistic' can be a term too casually used. It can end up being a frame of mind which borders on the line of:- just the way it is/probably too tricky/virtually impossible...until it becomes:- could never happen/it won't/I can't/no way.
