Been divorced for almost three years so like most guys I decided to look on the dating sites, Now after joining and browsing a number of dating / marriage sites within the UK & USA I have come to the conclusion that when a person reaches a certain age it becomes a "NO WIN" situation because we are all looking for someone younger, at least I now understand why so many people seek new partners outside of western shores.
Yes I am as bad as anyone, I to look for someone younger ! Happy Christmas everyone.

Don't give up Mossop me old son, and try for someone within a 12 year age range! I have met a few beautiful women on these sites!!!! If someone too young wants you, it's for the wrong reasons! Keep it real!

No I don't give up ! To many other things in life such as bringing up my 6 year old son, I think at first I did worry some what, but I guess that was in the 12 months after my divorce, Now I just look and think hell that would be nice !
A TRAMP made a comment about Match.com, no I have never looked on that site. Would like to say that I don't think I have been looking for someone to young, think I put age group up to 45 or 48 but this is the point I was getting at on my post, most 45 year old's are looking for a 35 year old.......Not all but a high number, well best of luck to them.

I think generally people on dating sites are preoccupied with age. It's the main categorisation and people don't generally look beyond that. The good thing about this site is you can have as much fun as you like while you're waiting or looking.

I can understand too! I personally have set a 5-7 year age limit between me and a mate and I'm on the other end of the scale. Well mor elike the middle as I jsut hit 33. I have 52 and 55 year olds asking me out and all I can think is WHY? I'm going to college and have a 2 year old, You're retired and have 20-somethings. What do we have in common? What can we talk about? Where would anything go if it did?  
It's just strange. I understand age is just a number but having SOMETHING in common would be nice, other than we have pieces that fit together and we both have heartbeats. I know i wouldn't want someone 10 years younger than I, then again I've been single for about 3 years and still just cruisin' with it so i might be biased. :))

God fearing ...Had a few of these myself Guess there spelling is as bad as mine and I got an "A" just shows how bad schools are in the UK
