Kidney stew,
crepes with jelly,
smoked whitefish and potato salad,
streuchla (cheese dumplings),
pig's ears (a very light fried pastry dusted with confectioner's sugar),
potica (a Slovenian 'bread' that's kind of like a streudel but filled with nuts and raisins and soaked in butter)
I'm sooooooooo hungry now....

My grandmother's Hungarian saurkraut with pork loin, mashed taters(real mashed taters from scratch)and Jewish rye bread..unsliced hard on the outside soft on the inside, served warm with butter. Almost better than an orgasm!

Me too...but they actually have the 'real thing' in the refrigerator case now. Real garlic mashed potatoes...I'll take a double helping and pass on dessert!
