I'm having my daughter's baby shower and was wondering if anyone has any ideas other than the usual sandwiches, ect. It's an open house shower... Men and Children invited, also. Since there will be a large crowd... Something simple and quick to prepare would be great.
I looked thru the threads and didn't see fingerfoods listed anywhere, so maybe this will also help others.

Easy -- little smokies in a crock pot with bbq sauce. Not exactly "finger food" but good for this type of thing and men appreciate it instead of "girly froo froo" type food.

Salmon rolls are always a hit
Mix smoked salmon, cream cheese, small can of drained, minced peppers and either chopped green onions or cilantro or both.
Spread over slightly warm flour tortilla and roll like a jelly roll. Cut into 1 inch bite size pieces and watch em disappear!!!!!!!!

I make these all the time for parties and everyone loves them.
SAUSAGE BALLS
1 lb. hot sausage 2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese 3 c. Bisquick (biscuit mix)
Allow cheese to come to room temperature. Combine all ingredients (easier done by hand). Shape into 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Serve immediately or may be frozen for future use. Makes 40-50 balls.

Here's another one that's really good....
MINIATURE QUICHE
1 can butterflake dinner rolls 1 1/2 c. heavy cream 3 eggs Salt, pepper, nutmeg, parsley Crabmeat Sauteed scallions Grated Swiss cheese Touch of Tabasco
Separate individual layers of butterflake dinner rolls and press into greased small muffin tins. Whisk cream and eggs together. Add seasoning, crabmeat, cheese, and Tabasco. Spoon custard into shells. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.

^ those sound yummy
I like Bacon-Wrapped Chestnuts
Wrap half piece of bacon around 2 sliced water chestnuts and stab with toothpick. Continue until your baking dish is full
Make a sauce of mayo, brown sugar & chili sauce.
Bake at 350 for about 50 minutes.

Absolutely!
Try these shortcut "empanadas". Using refrigerated "biscuits" ( those tubey-things), roll out individually and fill with ham/cheese/with a dab of Dijon, etc. Fold over, press edges with fork, and bake...Takes 12 minutes. Sprinkle flour on your face to encourage appreciative comments.

String cheese served with cocktail sauce is great! If you haven't tried it before it takes a bit of getting used to before you can really enjoy the tastes.

Sorry. I just couldn't resist anymore. These are the cookies that our friend "Danger!" baked for Halloween...definitely "fingerfoods"!

(Danger, please don't be mad at me for stealing your picture and thunder...I think they're priceless and just too good not to share )

Frozen meat balls Chili sauce Grape jelly
Mix equal amounts of chili sauce and jelly in crock pot until jelly is melted, dump in the frozen meatballs, stir a little here and there till heated through.
You can let meatballs thaw in fridge before party so they heat faster.
Yummy, have yet to meet a person that doesn't like these.
I usually use 2 bottles of chili sauce, (12 oz.) and about 1/2 bag meatballs.

The meatballs from above ^ ^ ^ ^ also work well if, instead of the grape jelly and chili sauce, you use currant jelly mixed with mustard. Mmmmmmm yummy!

Look in the frozen food section. They have Italian style as well as Swedish. They also sell precooked frozen turkey meatballs!

Quick & Easy Maple Flavored Sausage Balls
1 1lb roll of Jimmy Dean's Maple Flavored Sausage 1 8oz package of Kraft finely shredded cheese 1 individual package of Ritz crackers (finely crumbled)
Preheat oven to 375
Mix all 3 ingredients by hand into a large mixing bowl....Roll out mixture into balls. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 45 mins or until done.
I find that lining the cookie sheet with aluminum foil helps. Easier to clean up...
