This is purrrrrfect for that prepare ahead, sleeping in late sunday brunch!
ingredients:
1Cup brown sugar 1Tablespoon ground cinnamon 1/2 Cup butter or oleo melted 3 Apples, peeled cored and sliced 1/2 Cup Rasins (optional) 1 Pound loaf french baguette, cut into 1inch thick slices 6 Eggs, beaten lightly 1 1/2 Cups Milk 1 Tablespoon vanilla 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Grease a 9x13 in baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix together brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix in the melted butter. Stir in apples and raisins until evenly coated. Pour into prepared pan. Arrange bread slices evenly over apple mixture..
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Pour over bread, making sure that every slice is fully soaked. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake , covered at 375 degrees for 40 minutes. Remove cover , bake for a additonal 5 minutes.. then let stand for 5 -10 minutes b4 serving.
This makes about 8-12 servings. YUM YUM!!!!!
