Posts: 23 Ohhhh yessssss it is getting to that holiday season once again, and if you read my thread about stuffing, here is the ultimate oyster shooter recipe, this is totally addicting if you love oysters, be sure and buy extra so you can enjoy these!

Use beer if you want to consume several of these, tequila if you want to forget about making the rest of thanksgiving dinner LOL... Yeah..

In a juice glass pour about 1 1/2" of beer in the glass, add the following:

1 tablespoon seafood coctail sauce
1/2 teaspoon very hot horseradish
3-10 drops tabasco or tapatio hot sauce
dash worcestershire sauce
small shake of celery salt
shot of tequila (optional)

Stir this very well and add one or two oysters, serve immediately!

Non-alcoholic beer works very well in this recipe too!

Posts: 9,696 NO place had oysters on their seafood buffett this year.. none on the half shell. oysters were outta price range since it will take years for the oyster beds to get back the way they were before katrina... Sweet N Louisiana

I already stocked in some pacific oysters for stuffing, if you don't get them a few days before turkey day, you may find many stores sold out completely by the day before thanksgiving!
