I heard on the radio yesterday...
If you like fish, but hate the smell while cooking, dip the fish (or other seafood) in Vermouth before cooking.
(I have also soaked in milk)

Today they had a "Diet guru" on tv.
Cinnamon is a natural diuretic, and good for relief of bloating or gas.
Poached salmon: Place salmon on shiny side of aluminum foil. season to liking. Close foil tightly. Put in top of dishwasher and run through like you would dishes!

if you eat something that is really spicy hot and it burns your mouth, sprinkle some salt in your hand and lick the salt. will take the sting out of the burn.

Wrap celery in aluminum foil after removing from plastic bag. It will last a month or longer! I was amazed!

Roll Granddad up and use him at the bottom of doors as a draft excluder.

Next tip - always unroll Grand Dad. He could also be drafting his will

When opening a tin can, never open it all the way. Keep it so you can just push it down a little into the can. That way when or if you squish the garbage down into the bag, you don't slice yourself with the lid.

Kat, we always remove the lids completely here because if an animal gets hold of a tin with a lid left partly in tact, they get cut trying to get their paws/nose out of the tin.

If you can't get a screw cap off a jar, use a standard bottle opener and break the seal that way before unscrewing.
