What do you eat when you don't know what you WANT to eat? I'm not one who can handle scheduling meals ahead of time. I might not be in the mood to eat that particular meal.

A big Belgian Waffle with fresh blueberries :) Or I thaw a chewy steak bun, fry up an egg and throw on a slice of cheese. Or, just a plain old salad (a big one).
May have one of those tonight if I get hungry.

1100 miles is a long way to come for a waffle. But, it's a Krusteez waffle, so it'd be worth it :) Slightly crisp on the edges and still kind of fluffy on the inside. Add powdered sugar and strawberries or a flavored syrup...

I do make a menu, but it is very flexible. If I don't want what is on there, I'll make a fried egg sandwich or eat a Jiff peanut butter sandwich and I'm good to go. If I have it on hand, I'll eat any kind of melon if it's sweet and juicy.

I do wait till the sale papers come out and decide what we will have the next week from them.
That doesn't mean I know which night i will cook something on though.
They say,,  if you don't know what you want, then you aren't hungry.

What do I eat when I don't know what I want to eat?
 A couple slices of cheese or a couple slices of buttered bread. Ir cookines, sometimes.
Mostly that's what I eat every day since I never know what it is that I want to eat (unless it's plopped down in front of me -- then that's what I want to eat.  )
I can go up and down the aisles in the grocery store and not find a thing that I want.  Other times, everything looks good...until it comes to actually fixing it. I'm embarassed to say that I waste a lot of food that way.

I'm one for the menu planning, but when I'm not in the mood to cook, there's no leftovers, or I don't want to take much time - I grab a piece of cheese, some crackers & strawberries if I have them. OR... a childhood favorite - peanut butter & mayo sandwhich. If I want a cookie and don't have one it's Ritz with peanut butter.

CrackerJackPat, have you ever tried peanut butter & crispy fried bacon sandwiches? A friend of mine puts garden fresh tomato slices on hers too, but I like just the bacon and peanut butter on soft bread. Sounds weird and it's not healthy, but oh my goodness it's yummy!
