Italian Sausage & Bean Soup

Soooooo easy...... sooooooo quick..... & .....sooooooo good ! Enjoy 
3/4 lbs. bulk Italian sausage
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced or mashed
1 t. dried basil
1 (16 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (14.5 oz) can beef broth
1 (15 oz) can black beans
1 (15 oz) can butter beans
salt and pepper to taste
Brown sausage, add onions and garlic and cook over low heat until onion is limp. Drain and rince beans. Add tomatoes, beef broth and basil to sausage and onions; simmer to blend flavors. Add beans, salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with toasted sourdough bread or garlic bread.

You got me, Loreli. I dunno  I ain't that.. so...so...so...fist.i..cated. 
I may have to google it.
Okay - I'm back -- nope - not the same.
Google attributes the zuppa tuscano to Olive Garden. The Sausage/Kale Soup they do with red new potatoes. I've heard it's good - I've heard mine is better. 
I'll get it posted one of these days. Remind me if you want.

Is this the same as zuppa tuscano?
Sounds pretty much like it to me, except throw in some dark leafy greens and let then wilt, and possibly some small type pasta. Not much change in flavor as the sausage and garlic will dominate (Yummmmmmmmm) but you get some extra vitamins in the mix.
p.s. it's Tuscan soup in English - sort of a minestrone.
